Ted Cruz to His Supporters: 'Strap on the Full Armor of God, Attacks Are Coming'
PJ Media ^ | 01-01-2016 | Michael van der Galien

Posted on 01/02/2016 2:39:19 AM PST by Michael van der Galien

Ted Cruz isn't only surging in the polls -- he's now in second place nationally and leads in Iowa -- he is also raising a truckload of money. In the last quarter of 2015 alone the Republican presidential candidate received almost $20 million from his supporters.

Not bad for a grassroots candidate who's despised and hated by his own party's leadership team.

Small wonder then that Cruz bragged about these results during a phone call with supporters, adding that he's confident he'll be the Republican nominee -- soon:

"There’s a very good possibility that the Republican primary will be decided by the end of March."

That doesn't mean, however, that he believes it's going to be an easy ride. Quite the opposite in fact: he also warned his supporters to get ready for an epic battle, telling them it would get "uglier and uglier and uglier."

"We’re winning right now, and as a result, I want to tell everyone to get ready. Strap on the full armor of God. Get ready for the attacks that are coming. We’ve already seen hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars in attacks directed at us. Well I went to tell you that come the month of January, we ain’t seen nothing yet."

He added:

"I want to encourage everyone to get ready, because starting tomorrow morning, we are in a 90-day sprint to win this nomination, and then to turn around and win the general election. To defeat Hillary Clinton in November of 2016 and to turn this country around."

Its not; that is why I support Ted Cruz.

Really go back and read the thread; Clearly my words where for the Trump supporters who are against Ted Cruz, because he is a Christian. I got a feeling many Trump supporters have no idea who they are in bed with.

None of them have asked me for money.

Good! That must mean I am off the map!

That's true of Cruz's supporters. Here's Cruz, who denied ever supporting legalization, calling Rubio a talented "liar," supporting legalization from 2013 to as recently as March 2015.

Either today or tomorrow I'll also be posting a thread detailing Cruz and his ties to cult-like religion and huckstering, which should let out many wails and lamentation.

If Cruz supporters want to be this downright nasty, vicious, self-righteous and hypocritical, I'll give them a fight that will leave them pulling out clumps of hair from their mange infested scalps.

I support the Article V movement.

Never before in my life have I, but I do now.

Yes, Trump is a flawed candidate. I don’t like his arrogance nor manner. He is not dumb.

Path to regain our country runs through DC. But the options are major surgery to the entire DC bureaucracy or a far worse option.

There is no other path out. The Left will try to hijack an Article V convention.

Many do, though not because of MY words, but because of Ted Cruz's own words, which you filthy mongrels, in all your self-righteous pride, pretend do not exist.

Trump has a gazillion things that can be attacked

Sure does, but which candidate is a proven liar calling forth the "full armor of God" as he runs for President against the heathens?

what’s Godly about asking people to sacrifice their last expendable $5 to a campaign that’s collected $20 million in this quarter?

Where exactly did you get that from? Trump's Photoshopping nose picking rump? Godly people know family comes first but if you feel strongly about something and have the means then feel free to donate some, like supporting FR. Perhaps JR to you is unGodly in asking for donations to keep this site running.

Godly people know what being a good shepherd requires, and it not giving your last dollar away when needed, nor is entertaining fools more of your time than it is worth. Goodbye.

At this point we need a leader that can turn our economy around. WE NEED JOBS. If I’m fired, layed off or I quit a job, I want to be able to walk across the street and start another regardless of the color of my skin, gender, religion, political preference and without government help or direction. WE NEED JOBS. If I have the skill and will I’m hired. I want to see help wanted signs in every business I see.
Drugs, prostitution, homosexuality and crime have all been going on since day one and will continue till the end. We don’t need a leader that worries about it every waking day. Let the States decide what to do with those people. I don’t really worry about any of it because I don’t go looking for it. If it comes to me, I can say no thanks and move on and have the RIGHT and NO FEAR to do so. They destroy themsleves without any help. I don’t have the time for it, I need to go to work, take care of my family and buy things. Let the individual citizen decide for him or herself what he or she wants to do with themselves. I don’t want a president whose only goal for 4 to 8 years is to establish himself as a religious leader. I have a church that takes care of that. I don’t want the Church (any religion) in the White House and I don’t want the White House in my Church (any church). I want a leader that protects the country and every CITIZEN in it without blaming and demonizing those citizens for what our enemies do. I want a leader that is CONCERNED with the well being of the US instead of our enemies. I want a leader that says no to Europe and the UN and doesn’t care about their protests, whining and crying. We need a leader that builds the US instead of chaining it.

Now the Don is smart to say “Knock off this border BS”

It is a touchy subject but it is our “RIGHT” as Americans to control our borders.

Heck they should allow us who live on them to do it.

Thats what the founders wanted.

Some asshole in DC has no clue what is going on in Naco Az

From the source you cited: Now each “deal” in the book is actually made up of several supporting deals — agreements/contracts with many parties — which all need to come together to win the business.

That sounds exactly like the kind of reach across the aisle making government work deal making the GOP E does in Washington.....and yet because Trump does it, it's somehow great and magic and special? You guys need to make up your mind.

Please tell me where he EVER EVER EVER Said anything about downsizing government or showed a lot of reverence for the Constitution. Methinks you are projecting what you would like, not what is real.

IF he was for any of that, I’d be a lot more supportive of his campaign. It’s precisely that he’s NOT for any of that - that I’m not.

Cruz is a distant second on my list. I wish he would do something to look less Nixon-esque.
