Ted Cruz isn't only surging in the polls -- he's now in second place nationally and leads in Iowa -- he is also raising a truckload of money. In the last quarter of 2015 alone the Republican presidential candidate received almost $20 million from his supporters.
Not bad for a grassroots candidate who's despised and hated by his own party's leadership team.
Small wonder then that Cruz bragged about these results during a phone call with supporters, adding that he's confident he'll be the Republican nominee -- soon:
"Thereâs a very good possibility that the Republican primary will be decided by the end of March."
That doesn't mean, however, that he believes it's going to be an easy ride. Quite the opposite in fact: he also warned his supporters to get ready for an epic battle, telling them it would get "uglier and uglier and uglier."
"Weâre winning right now, and as a result, I want to tell everyone to get ready. Strap on the full armor of God. Get ready for the attacks that are coming. Weâve already seen hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars in attacks directed at us. Well I went to tell you that come the month of January, we ainât seen nothing yet."
He added:
"I want to encourage everyone to get ready, because starting tomorrow morning, we are in a 90-day sprint to win this nomination, and then to turn around and win the general election. To defeat Hillary Clinton in November of 2016 and to turn this country around."

I like Ted but I’m afraid his toolbox isn’t quite big enough for the repairs required this time around. I’d love to see Ted hold the flashlight and hand the Donald pliers, wrenches and hammers from the VP seat though...
Now, my opinion is just as valid as yours and neither one gets us anywhere.

1st, I'm not enamored with Trump, but DC is past governing without a lot of demolition first. It's TIME to DownSize DC! Close entire Rogue/Unconstitutional Departments including their SWAT Teams. The only way to remove those who are openly subversive of the Constitution and our heritage is to remove the very seat of their power. It won't get the job done by just firing a few. Only way to "get it done" is to eliminate entire worse than "worthless" sections of the DC bureaucracy. War without bullets is preferable, now what type of person will really do what is necessary to restore the "Rule of Law" and prosecute those who have done this to the nation? They all took oath's of office, the vast majority are openly defying the Constitution. They no longer even pretend to abide by that oath, holding it in contempt.
Carefully crafted words by another ghost writer who follows Trump around with a notepad and scribbles down his random often profanity laced utterings and try’s to make some sense of them.
“Surging Ted” doing his desperate Elmer Gantry act.
It was a thread written by a Freeper.
Half of you behave like you’re influenced by demons.
Child.
Does that state of mind lead you to support the Article V movement?
Or do you rely on the man on horseback to put things right?
What you as a Trump supporter should know more than anyone else is that Trump can not help, but drain all the light and oxygen that is around him. Creating a âdead zoneâ for anyone with future that is not tied to Trump. So please tell me why anyone that plans to have their own future would place themselves in his shadow and why would you ever support someone that did?
And their lies the true heart of the matter; We certainly don’t want a Godly man as President and this country certainly doesn’t need the Lords help to get right.
I have to ask....what’s Godly about asking people to sacrifice their last expendable $5 to a campaign that’s collected $20 million in this quarter?
“So please tell me why anyone that plans to have their own future would place themselves in his shadow and why would you ever support someone that did?”
It would be Trump placing Ted, not Ted placing Ted.
Yes. However, new words in the Constitution will not help until those who ignore the existing words are gone.

Damn good questions.
I am of the opinion that we need to shore up our constitution. But even though the “man on horseback” doesn’t play a direct constitutional role in Article V, WITHOUT the right “man on horseback” it’ll never happen.
Congress lacks leadership to do their job. The “man on horseback” is needed to provide that leadership, and also to lend his bully pulpit to the task.
Just my 2c. FRegards
Trump has the temperament and disposition of an angry elephant running through a China shop. His “political skills” as you call it, consists of insulting anybody
Who comes close to him in the polls.
