Ted Cruz isn't only surging in the polls -- he's now in second place nationally and leads in Iowa -- he is also raising a truckload of money. In the last quarter of 2015 alone the Republican presidential candidate received almost $20 million from his supporters.
Not bad for a grassroots candidate who's despised and hated by his own party's leadership team.
Small wonder then that Cruz bragged about these results during a phone call with supporters, adding that he's confident he'll be the Republican nominee -- soon:
"Thereâs a very good possibility that the Republican primary will be decided by the end of March."
That doesn't mean, however, that he believes it's going to be an easy ride. Quite the opposite in fact: he also warned his supporters to get ready for an epic battle, telling them it would get "uglier and uglier and uglier."
"Weâre winning right now, and as a result, I want to tell everyone to get ready. Strap on the full armor of God. Get ready for the attacks that are coming. Weâve already seen hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars in attacks directed at us. Well I went to tell you that come the month of January, we ainât seen nothing yet."
He added:
"I want to encourage everyone to get ready, because starting tomorrow morning, we are in a 90-day sprint to win this nomination, and then to turn around and win the general election. To defeat Hillary Clinton in November of 2016 and to turn this country around."

“It is like a cult on its own.”

Perhaps. But he same can be said of many Trump supporters, Paul supporters, Bernie supporters...
You cared enough to lie, and to stress very very hard how much you don't care! LOL
“Cruz campaign’s psychoanalytical group.”
????????
I thought Christian values, if not God himself, was propelling the Cruz campaign.
He'll make the trains run on time. At least he thinks he will.
I checked back; I read “site” but you wrote “thread”. Cruz supporters definitely have a tendency to snarl.
“he is not the first businessman to destroy the little guy in business.”
Are you serious? “Little guys” invest millions in gambling casinos?
When Wallace asked Trump about that in the first debate, even Wallace did not claim it was “little guys” who got burned.
The Conservative Treehouse is, granted, more conservative than libertarian. I’ve been reading it for years, and cannot recall many libertarian leaning posts. Sundance’ deeply held Christian beliefs/faith probably relegate the blog to conservatism regardless of his own description of his own site.
It is also one of the most fascinating sites I’ve ever read. A one subject-matter pimp it is anything but. [Did you see the story about the pro angler and the half drowned, half frozen blind shitzu? Saw it nowhere but TCT, and it was wonderful.] Sundance is an analytic demon/genius, and his favorite passtime is to take a fake crime situation—such as Hands up Don’t Shoot—and lay it wide open. He has mind like a steel trap. It’s amazing, as a reader, just to go along for the ride.
But crime, politics, Christianity [mainly from a Catholic POV, but he never beats on the non-Catholics; he is actually a very good advocate of his faith] and miraculously rescued wee dogs are far from his only subjects. You just never know what can pop up, but it’s always interesting. It’s a blog that takes time to get to know. Time well spent.
I based my logic on numerous unsolicited comments from real people who have been repeatedly spammed by for donations...how about you?

Most likely to late. There is more hate spewed by Trump supporters against Cruz in Cruz one days worth of FR what are Cruz threads by Trump supporters than ‘The Donald’ himself has uttered so far his whole run. You can’t gain support like that the ‘Paulist’ in the last two elections have proven that and Trump supporters have well trump them already not even half way through one election.
I didn’t know he liked ‘strap ons’......
Edmund, it's time to take your meds.
Trump supporters definitely have a tendency to swoon. (Check out the "live threads" for examples.)
See how that knife cuts both ways?
Says the person whose entire posting history consists of nothing but personal attacks, insults, namecalling, and spittle-flecked, profanity-laced ranting.
And he is. :D
He is very good. I enjoy the site immensely.
You just pulled that out of your ass
what does that mean? how does it apply to Cruz?"
Oh, the anti-Cruz jackals have been all over Ted's looks for a while now.
I find it funny as hell. While physical appearance has nothing to do with one's choice of candidates, as a woman you don't want to get me started on Trump's appearance. Only in a world gone nuts could he be held up as more attractive than anybody.
Ann Coulter once said that liberal women have a penchant for turning ugly old politicians into unlikely sex symbols. Now so-called conservatives are doing it, and to make it even more bizarre, some of them are male.
"Not his fault!"
"Didn't really happen!"
"Was all part of his brilliant, undercover Sun-Tzu chess game!"
Etc., etc.
More than a few of the truly nasty Trump supporters are in reality Hillary supporters in Trump drag.
You can pretty much pick them out by their tactics.
When they use the tactics of Saul Alinsky it’s a pretty good bet they are Hillary’s cockroaches that have crawled in.
