Raqqa, Syria
Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant, also known as ISIS, announced today that he would be disbanding all forces and returning all land to Syria and Iraq. The move was prompted by the ongoing Climate Conference in Paris.
"This is one thing we could not have anticipated," Mr. al-Baghdadi said in prepared remarks. "When we see the world coming together like this on such a dangerous subject as Global Climate Change, we realize that our Caliphate will never survive. It's only a matter of time before Climate Change is no more and the world's attention turns to us. At that point, we will have no chance. For the sake of the men, women, and children who have supported us, I can not continue a doomed campaign."
An emotional al-Baghdadi did not take any questions.
Sources close to al-Baghdadi who spoke on the condition of anonymity told us that it was becoming more and more difficult to recruit new fighters. "Even our existing people are extremely demoralized," one said. "The words of Donald Trump himself can not overcome our dispair."
According to their press release, surrender is total and immediate. Fighters are being paid and sent home by division. Any remaining money will be put into a fund to resettle Christians and Yazidis who have been displaced by the war.
"We thought the world was fragmented," one strategist was overheard saying to himself. "Who knew it could come together like this? This is a stinging rebuke."
So far there has been no comment from Damascus, Baghdad, Moscow, or Washington. One source inside the Kremlin said, "We are waiting to see if there will be any follow-up action. We want to make sure this is real before we decide on our next steps."
I think I need someone to bonk heads with. It could be better than coffee.

Since I drink my breakfast, I can effectively cover the cup! LOL! Still, I remember both kittehs, and they avoided me. I’m sure age hasn’t changed that except for the worst.
It is Thursday, and I’ve been to Wally’s already.
Yesterday, I paid all my bills so today, I got a little piece of foods.
Life is good. For at least the next week. :o])

I went to Harris Teeter because it’s near the bank and I had to make deposits. We were almost out of coffee.
Later I’m taking Kathleen to the doctor. Time for vaccinations.
I make my grocery list on the back of the budget print-out, and fold it in half so I can handle and read it easier. Ha-ha. I wrote, “Stamps” and “Gift card” at the bottom, and then promptly turned the half page over to the blank half and made my list.
Now I have to go back to get a gift card for my grandson and stamps so I can sent it to him. The injuries of the missionaries in Belgium made me realize that no matter where the young men and women are, they are always exposed to dangers of some kind.
I can’t send him cash or electronics, but I try to send him $10-15 a month in a Walmart gift card. The missionaries HAVE to eat, ya know! I wish I could send that much twice a month, but it just isn’t in the cards... or the budget!

Can you imagine the arguments and bun fights over Jam and Cream etiquette on a scone.....If I ever come up on that lottery I really will be paying to watch that one. :)

The afternoon was spent wandering around the House and Gardens where part of Harry Potter was filmed. The Corridors of Hogwarts really do exist.
Duke University looks like Hogwarts.
For the last three days, each time I made a list, I’ve been saying, “I need to put ... oh, you know, that stuff ... what was it?” It was coffee. I finally remembered, fortunately before it was too late. AND the big can of HT-brand coffee was $2 off.
