I saw the interview with “The New Yorker” magazine’s editor on 60 Minutes this weekend and that cover was specifically questioned. The editor said it was intended as pure satire of those accusing BO of being a “secret Muslim” and nothing more.

It now appears the accusers were correct and the satire has now blown back in their lib faces as sneaking up on an uncomfortable truth.

Selling arms to Islamic radicals or the mentally in the US should be suppressed. The issue is how to accomplish it. Suppressing immigration of Moslems is a different issue with caveats: a) if exposed to American Christianity with religious freedom are they more likely to be evangelized, or might they just adopt the more decadent aspects of American culture ? b) is Islam itself a threat to the survival of the American constitutional republic ? I say yes, and I actually voted against Obama, the first Moslem President of the USA, unlike others, by voting for McCain and Romney in the general elections of 2012 and 2016 respectively.

Passing laws that then fall to the Obama administration to enforce, or not enforce, defers the work to another administration not committed to fundamentally transform America, should we be so fortunate.

I know this thread is mainly a sort of “vent” thread, but seriously, the Left is probably patiently waiting simply for one more appointment of a person who will vote with the Left bloc on the Supreme Court before doing much of significance to the Second Amendment. And when they do address the Second Amendment, they will have to work out how people like the elites and celebrities will be able to continue to be protected legally by guns.
