While appearing on CNN's "State of the Union," GOP presidential candidate Ben Carson seemed to swallow Planned Parenthood talking points and claimed that "hateful rhetoric" played a role in the Colorado Springs shooting.
Odd, Carson is sounding just like the folks at Planned Parenthood trying to foment hate and violence against those who oppose abortion:
Planned Parenthood is murdering babies, dismembering them and selling their body parts.
What is there NOT to hate about that? The authorities tasked with protecting these helpless, innocent babies not only has abdicated their responsibilities, now they want to label verbal opposition as “hate speech”!
What is left for moral, compassionate people to do in order to stop this abominable practice?
Well, well, well .. what have we here .. the new Karl Rove candidate .. siding with the left.
My, my .. how the tide turns.
Didn’t Carson earlier admit that he used fetal tissue in his research?
Didn’t he say something like, if it’s available why not use it?
(The old, ‘Well, the babies were already dead anyway!’ excuse.)
Buh-bye, Ben.
"There is no question that, uh, you know, hateful rhetoric no matter which side it comes from - right or left - is something that is detrimental to our society. This has been a big problem. Our strength in this country has traditionally been in our unity. And we are allowing all kinds of circumstances to divide us and make us hateful toward each other. And the rhetoric is extremely immature, divisive, and is not helpful when you have outside forces uh - global Islamic radical jihadists who want to destroy us. Why would we be doing that to ourselves? We at some point have got to become more mature. No question the hateful rhetoric exacerbates the situation and we should be doing all we can to engage in intelligent, civil discussion about our differences. That's how we solve problems. we don't ever solve them with hateful rhetoric ... I think both sides should tone down their rhetoric, and engage in civil discussion."

I guess Carson would side with the Charlie Hebdo killers as well ... after all, they were provoked by "hateful rhetoric" according to their apologists.
Maybe it's not the same thing, but I haven't taken a logic class so I can't put my finger on the reason why.
Agreed. Libs will continue Uncle Tomming him, but that doesn’t seem to intimidate him.
We can continue to pray that he’ll eventually ‘get it’ regarding abortion, 2A, and a few other conservative issues.
This guy is just not that bright. And niceness alone won’t win the day against petty tyrants like Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Alan Grayson. We need a brass-knuckled fighter who is also a quick thinker. That ain’t Carson.
You’re right. I should not take the post’s version of Carson’s comment. I should read Carson’s comment in context, which sounds very different than the context of the title of this article.
Thanks for pointing that out.
However, there ARE people saying that rhetoric is a cause of violence .... this goes way back to the Gabby Gifford incident and probably before ... also the Benghazi ‘video’ incident. It is the left that usually uses the rhetoric-causes-violence meme. We should be careful not to use it.
And what they won’t say...what caused the hateful rhetoric? Killing babies...that might bring up some hateful rhetoric! If it doesn’t stir people, then there’s nothing left of humanity.
Crazy, lonely losers shoot people because they are crazy, lonely losers. They may glom onto a left-wing cause or a right-wing cause or something else to justify themselves and try to make their blood lust heroic, but the cause isn’t why they kill people. They kill people because they want to kill people.
Better Cruz than Rubio that’s for sure. Just as long as Trump is numero uno.
He could be, I’ll wait and see though.
He has let people down once, he may do it again.
Who knows, with his connection to Sharpton he might go full on democrat.
Never have so many Americans been so uninformed about so much.
Looks like Carson is telegraphing that he knows how to play ball.
Plus he blinks too much and too often.
Drives me nuts to watch him under the debate lights.
Put a fork in “im.
So are his dupes.. I , I mean his supporters going to Cruz?
I think a majority of them are. That’s where they should have been all along. Carson really had the wool pulled over their eyes.
So, Ben Carson can you explain the difference between “hateful rhetoric” and free speech?
