This video is one in a series of videos and websites which are being posted on FreeRepublic in the coming days in regard to nutritional health. In the beginning these videos were being posted as a rebuttal to an article and comments in another posted article on FreeRepublic remarking on obesity. Due to the strong interest in obesity and nutritional health as it relates to Type II Diabetes, the videos relating to Type II diabetes and how to reverse the progression of the disease are being moved forward among the other video topics in this series. Expect to see a mixture of videos regarding the role of carbohydrates in the diet and their relationship to nutritional health topics ranging from metabolic syndrome and Diabetes to dementia, Parkinson's Disease, Altzheimer's Disease, and more. The effects of standard government sponsored diets, health association diets, and alternative diets upon everyday nutrition, sports nutrition, and diabetic nutrition will be mixed in with videos focused on the use of various low carbohydrate and high fat (LCHF) diets, such as the ketogenic diets as a treatment for Type II Diabetes.

Is belly fat human or just American ?
“Is belly fat human or just American ?”
human
populations which formerly did not have an obesity problem are becoming far more obese than Americans as they adopt some of the late modern American nutritional patterns. China was shocked to discover after a recent government survey that found their obesity rate is higher than in the U.S.
We’ve always had bread and beer ... is it TV and chairs ?
“Weâve always had bread and beer ... is it TV and chairs ?”
No. It has to do with the percentage of the calories in the diet, the increase in numbers of meals and snacking events, the decrease in fasting hours between the meal and snacking events, and resulting chromic elevation of insulin levels causing insulin resistance. The insulin resistance then became a vicious cycle causing irreversible weight gain over time as a consequence of the increasing needs for insulin. Without the daily fasting periods and additional fastings needed to break the cycle of elevated insulin levels, the metabolism develops insulin resistance that leads to the metabolic syndrome, unstoppable weight gain, and diabetes.
That sounds like I’m stuck with my belly fat
“That sounds like Iâm stuck with my belly fat”
Not necessarily if you adopt a ketogenic diet.
Thank you for posting these! FR can be a tough crowd when it comes to these non-medical approaches.
Dr. Atkins lives! Low carb has always worked for me.
You also have some developing countries where it is still a point of pride to have sufficient resources to become fat. It is a sign of wealth, or at least non-poverty, which becomes more of a problem as they move out of poverty—especially considering how starchy some traditional diets.
