Done to death |

Using Firefox, something has triggered the launch of a page declaring that the www.freerepublic.com site is on a list of "reported attack sites."
Cancelling this dialog box page takes me to a page claiming to be that of some web public service organization tracking Google's listing of pages "reported" as "attack sites."
Has happened twice.
Here is the initial page which appears:
Not shown here it the follow-up page with claims about Google's detection of these things.
Oh, no. Not these posts again. I lose count. Is this number 81?
I got this this morning when responding to the Texas poll thread
Jim ‘splained this yesterday. I got one this a.m. and checked the “This is NOT an attack site.” box. No further problems.
We attack Democrats. Thats good enough for me ;-)
It does not appear to happen under Windows Internet Explorer
I’ve been getting the same screen since yesterday, on FR.
I’m using the Google Chrome browser.
It is still happening in spite of the suggested procedures.
There is a link on the page (I forget exactly where . . . towards the bottom) that says “If you understand the risks and don’t care if your machine is fried with common sense values and American patriotism” (or words somewhat sorta kinda to that effect . . . click here to proceed”
I clicked and didn’t get blowed up or anything! :)
I've clicked the "this is NOT an attack site" link twice. Been through this twice. Heads up. fwiw. Sorry if everybody has seen this but me.
On Firefox I’m only getting it now when I try to post. Yesterday it was coming up every time I tried to visit the site. Also, yesterday my Trend Micro AV software was doing the same thing but that has stopped.
LOL! No problem for me. One click per day seems to work for me.
As an added bonus, we attack RINOs, too! lol
If I understand correctly, FR allegedly links to a site that possibly links to one or more “attack pages”. Referring to FR itself as an attack page, on that basis, strikes me as something akin to libel. Not nice. You could make a better case for Google itself being an “attack page” on that basis.
Identified as an “Attack Site” . . .
why not! We’ve already been identified as a racist site, a misogynist site, a hate site, an homophope site, an Islamophob site . . . etc.
Hey! what’s one more?
