The lion is among Africas most iconic wildlife right up there with elephants, rhinos and giraffes and also one of the continents top predators. But despite its status as one of the worlds most recognizable animals, the lion has lately been losing its grip on its historic domain.

I like lions...and tigers...and bears. Oh my!
I hope lions do not go extinct. I’d miss my big cats.

I blame Midwestern American dentists. ;-)
Just floss between the teeth you want to keep.
Sorry thought this was Seinfeld thread.

If we keep expanding our habitats and cutting down their habitats, the lions are going to die.
It would be nice to have a reserve for them, but it is unlikely that people and lions are going to live “together.” Nature does not work like that.

Well, as conservative as I am, I’ve always been an animal lover-—sometimes very emotionally so. I don’t apologize for it. Hey, I’m a woman.
God made those creatures and found them good, and I don’t believe He intended for us to wipe them out.

I know. I love my animals as well. And Lions are certainly majestic.
But, you cannot help the folks who live in the area from protecting their children. And you are not going to prevent them from encroaching into their areas to get the resources out of the ground.
To: Vermont Lt
I understand. It’s a very tough situation all the way around.

Extinction is the natural course of history. Why should the African lion be an exception? If people really cared about lions they’d make a market in them. Instead they attack dentists who make lions valuable. Libs are dumb.
