I was just in a conversation with a business partner who has been working on making a large sale to a liberal state out east.
I asked him if he got the sale yet and he told me "yes, I got the sale with requirements. I must prove that my business is "woman owned" in order to close on the sale. So I have been working on the paperwork to give my wife ownership of my business."
Yes, it's that insane, that a major factor of the state of buying is based on the owner of the business. But, my question, now with the greater fluidity of gender identity. Can anyone now claim to be a woman?
I was thinking that for business purposes only, I could declare myself to be a woman, but in my personal life, I could go living my life as a church-attending, hunting-loving, beer drinking, husband and father.
Is the government going to have requirements of what it means redeclare your gender and check on you to see if you're dressed in drag? I'm seeing some opportunities here for men here.
What do you think?
Poof! You’re a woman!
Poof POOF!
You’re a black woman.
(even better!)
You will, of course, have to wear the frilly underwear at all times however.
Only if the business partner can self identify as both and REALLY, REALLY means it. Or sound like said business partner REALLY, REALLY feels it. Then it’s valid.
Most of us thought you were gay so thinking you are transgendered is an easy step.
(just kidding, but you left yourself open)
The best solution would be for him to declare himself to be otherkin or ‘gender fluid’, and then try to slap them with a discrimination suit if they refuse to accomodate his identity. Unless he is directly selling to the government or a high-ranking moonbat (as in, personal friend of a government official), the moonbat courts should side with him.
Well in less you are also a minority owned business do not count on any business. I am a woman owned business since 2009, but white. They came up with every excuse in the world to not give me any business. SO they hire a big surveying company an hour or more away that is owned by a man to come into our county to do the work. Good luck!
I took a DoD job at the Pentagon in 2010 (did 3.5 years and retired). It amazed as the purchaser at the organization how they continued tried to correl me into women-owned businesses.
So one day....my boss handed me roughly 150,000 to buy ergonomic chairs for the organization. I did the research....found the ‘Cadillac’ of ergo chairs at a really good rate (sale price of $550 each). Based on the pricing, I was actually going to have money left over.
But then....those silly budget managers got into the middle of this, and said that once I went over a certain amount....I had to go and buy via minority or women-owned business. And I couldn’t get that $550 rate for the same chair. It came closer to $700. So I was forced to use this one woman-owned company.
Now, I’m not a rocket scientist but I kept looking at the folks who won the contract. The more I looked...it just looked strange. So I pulled up the address. It’s a farm house in Pennsylvania...about 20 miles south of Gettysburg. There’s nothing around it at all...just a farm house. So I did more research....it’s a one-woman company, and she’s simply a middle point for a Canadian company. They probably helped to set her up, and she’s the one and only owner and employee of her own company. I’ll take a guess that she gets a cut of 3-percent and the rest goes to the Canadian company.
It’s all a joke if you ask me. They’ve rigged up the purchase method, the taxation method, and just about everything....for fake reality.
Well, Rachel Dozeal opened up that door for us also.
Oops. Went too far. Now you are the president.
It might be worth a shot.
Personally, I'd tell them to go p!$$ up a rope. What they are requiring is essentially gender discrimination and they can take their business elsewhere. Unless the sale is worth THAT much to you. What price principles?
Or, you could just check the box on their stupid form, and chances are 99.99% no one in their bureaucracy cares.
“Tell me what you think?”
Let’s see...your “partner” stated “I asked him if he got the sale yet and he told me “yes, I got the sale with requirements. I must prove that my business is “woman owned” in order to close on the sale.”
I’ll tell you what I think being in business all of these years and being smart enough never to bid a contract with stipulations such as these.
Brace yourself....”the fix is in” and your buddy will freeze in hell before you ever get a contract with this company.
Another thing, there’s something very “fishy” with this contract thing: He calls you to tell you he has the contract but it comes with stipulations: It must be woman owned.
First, you don’t even get to apply for the contract without providing the proper paperwork and that paperwork CLEARLY SHOWS the requirement to bid IS THAT YOUR COMPANY MUST BE WOMAN OWNED and he cannot do that on his own. He must either sell his stake in the business to her and depending on who owns what percentage of the partnership, if she does not own the majority of the partnership the business is still not “woman owned.”
Something just is not right here.
Change your name to gender neutral, like Pat or Leslie or Lynn.
They may require that you cut “it” off.
