FINALLY, A REPUBLICAN STANDS UP AGAINST TRUMP By Ross Kaminsky on 9.11.15 Bobby Jindal is a smart -- even brilliant -- and accomplished man who will almost certainly not be our next president. So he doesn't have much to lose by speaking from the heart.
Speaking at the National Press Club on Friday, Jindal launched the first full-fledged Republican assault on the political tumor that is Donald Trump. The video is a must-watch just to hear someone, anyone, give a lengthy description of the true nature of the current Republican front-runner.
Jindal followed the speech with a fund-raising e-mail which highlights that his speech was "about Donald Trump" and quoting some of his own speech:
"(W)e are flirting with nominating a non-serious, unstable, substance-free narcissist. Nominating Donald Trump is a certain way for us to miss our opportunity to make America Great Again. Summer is over, it's time to get serious about saving our country. It's time to send Donald Trump back to reality TV - it's time to tell Donald Trump - it's been great, you've been great for ratings, you are almost as fun as Don Rickles, the show has been a blast."
And on Twitter, Jindal keeps on pressing: "I said about @realDonaldTrump what other candidates are thinking but don't have the guts to say" and "The reason @realDonaldTrump has never read the Bible is because hes not in it."
Good job, Bobby. Keep it up. And the rest of you Republicans, grow a pair and stand up more aggressively against the foolishness and bombast that is the Trump candidacy.

Once more...The Art of the Deal! He's a kewl negotiator.
If Trump's a tumor it's one that had its genesis in research level doses of GOP handwringing and betrayal.
I used to actually have some respect for the American Spectator.
Yes. He shot himself in the foot. I use to like him.
Because they are part of that bunch. Might as well be dems.
I used to like him too, when he was supporting the efforts of a real governor, Governor Mike Foster. Jindal is a sad disappointment, and has been seduced by the Geriatric Old Plotters to be their colored sock puppet.
“Bobby Jindal is a smart — even brilliant — and accomplished man who will almost certainly not be our next president. So he doesn’t have much to lose by speaking from the heart.”
That is as far as anyone needs to read to know that this writer has his head in an unusual place. It also lowers my estimation of American Spectator.
“Trump has never done anything that didn’t profit him.”
Trump has a history of donating to charities in a big way. He was co-chairman of the New York Vietnam Veterans Memorial Commission, and donated $1,000,000 for its construction. So, your comment is demonstratively false.
Speaking for myself I am supporting Trump based on a rational assessment of what I think he will do for the country. I have never said Trump is perfect, nor have I come across very many who have, but I will defend him against attacks that I find to be disingenuous or dishonest, or false, like your assertion that Trump has never done anything in his life that didn’t profit him, which is demonstratively false.
Maybe what’s good for Trump Enterprises is good for America.
A son of parents from India, changed his name from “Piyush” to “Bobby” trying to appear more ‘American’.
Ain’t gonna work, Jindal. You still look like a terrorist.
Combined with that and your record you don’t have a chance.
Take a cue from Perry and bow out gracefully.
My FB friends who post political info are for Trump and in a distant 2nd and 3rd are for Cruz and Huck.
Because he faces a field that (other than Cruz, Santorum, and on some days Walker) wants to pretty much dissolve the borders and who won't oppose Islam.
I would like Cruz.
Walker was my candidate before he started stumbling leftward on immigration. Santorum is way past his use by date.
I can hold my nose and vote for Trump.
Unfortunately being smart and having actual conservative accomplishments are 100% irrelevant this election cycle.
POST OF THE DAY!
You said it all. End of story. Close the thread. Truth lives at post #13!
Part of the reason so many of us feel optimistic about a Trump Presidency is that we recognize that it’s not enough to have a President who believes all the right things. It’s just as important to have a President who can accomplish what he sets out to do. What good is having the perfect conservative, if he has no ability to get what he stands for implemented?
Trump has shown that he has a knack for accomplishing things. He can cajole, lean on people, bargain with them to get things done. Part of getting things done as a President is dealing with Congress, and getting them to pass what you want them to pass.
Who is this Kaminsky guy anyway?
Wonder who America will listen to? The polling @ 1% loser who now just sounds like he’s whining, or the polling 30-40% winner?
Hmmm...out with Perry and in with Jindal.
AFAIK, you are right. Jindal is an anchor baby.
