Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said on Tuesday that his agency is looking for “creative ways” to give public school students access to more meals, including a way to provide them breakfast, lunch and dinner year round.

“We have focused on efforts to try to figure out ways in which we can expand in those time periods when youngsters may not have access to school meals,” Vilsack said in remarks at the liberal Center for American Progress in Washington, D.C. That includes giving students access to meals “across the school day, across the school year and across the calendar year,” he said. […]

Vilsack spoke ahead of the Sept. 30 expiration date for federally funding the Healthy, Hungry-Free Kids Act of 2010, which pays for USDA’s school meal and child nutrition programs—including the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), the National School Lunch Program, the School Breakfast Program, and the Child and Adult Care Food Program. …

Not the governments job. It will just inspire less people who need it most to not dine as a family together.

The leftists will never let up on “abolition of the family”. It’s a quasi-religious doctrine to them.

Comprehensive feeding and care schools are partly aimed at segments of our society where family and culture are very broken. I know that sounds “raisis”. My fear is that the aim here isn’t just welfare. Rather, the aim is to create a generation of ideologically loyal Janissaries.

Well I guess they won’t need food stamps anymore. Seriously, the US taxpayers provide food stamps and free meals which is redundant. Then we have private food banks and religious institutions feeding the poor. Somehow being poor has become a legitimate lifelong career. I don’t get it!

One crappy Michelle Obama approved meal a day isn’t enough, so they are going to expend the program so they can torture more students.

“Probably full of GMO mind control substances”

I don’t doubt that for one minute.

That plus Common Core will insure a population of mind-numbed, sex-crazed, collectivist nimrods ripe for the picking when the NWO Nazi’s make their move.

Thank you for referencing that article Olog-hai. Please bear in mind that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

Patriots, please bear in mind that the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to tax and spend for meals in intrastate schools.

The reason that such federal funding could be made available for school lunches is the following. The corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification Senate is not doing its job to protect the states as the Founding States had intended for it to do. In this case the Senate is not killing vote-winning House appropriations bills which arguably steal state revenues that the states could use pay for school lunches.

“Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States.” —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

The ill-conceived 17th Amendment needs to disappear, and corrupt, Constitution-ignoring senators who work in cahoots with the House to steal state revenues along with it.

I recall reports of record food waste due to these changes in school menus, students just don’t want to eat it, so of course the program needs to be expanded to three meals a day.

In what has been labeled ‘the wealthiest big city in America’ (when ‘big city’ was defined as >250k) they run a summer lunch program for school age kids at the rec centers. No means testing - show up looking under 18 and get a lunch.

When I was a kid, it was the job of the parents to feed their kids. My mother and father both had jobs. They had to work because they thought it was THEIR responsibility to feed THEIR children. They were too proud to accept welfare and it DIDN’T take a village to raise your kids. Besides, in those days, there already were enough artists, poets and guitar players in this country.

...."They’re already calling those “migrants” in Europe. Wonder what word they’ll use next?"......

oh that's easy....The United States “Refugee Resettlement Program,”.......“The United Nations high commissioner for refugees just last year increased the number of Syrian,Iran Iraq, refugees to the United States for processing,...and recently Obama said we will take more after the propaganda push....”....Obama has a activist pro-refugee lobby in the United States that is very strong, and his administration has been particularly receptive to them.

...There are two methods of creating Islamic supremacy in the world..... One is through violent jihad.... The other is through al-hijra, or 'the Islamic doctrine of immigration'..... which is accomplishing the same goal over the short term as countries now hurry to let down their vetting processes and flood them in... which includes the United States and most of Europe.

Cleveland, Akron and Columbus, Ohio, have been hotspots in for Muslim refugees coming from the Middle East.....and now Detroit and Minnisorta are fully in...Most of the Syrian refugees in these refugee camps are Sunni Muslims; they’re NOT Christians as is being promoted heavily.........The camps in places like Turkey and Jordan, you’re not going to find a ton of Christians.

These refugee families have changed the demographics of their host cities, such as Shelbyville, Tennessee; Lewiston, Maine; and Minneapolis, Minnesota, all of which have reported 'culture clashes' between Muslims 'expecting everything from foot baths at public colleges to dietary concessions at public schools...increases in crime from rape to theft and beheadings....

It should come as no surprise that Obama, working with the U.N., would do everything in his power to flood the United States with as many Muslim refugees as possible.

Laying Claim to WAshington....
