HOUSTON (AP) — A sheriff's deputy in uniform was shot and killed Friday night while filling up his patrol car at a suburban Houston gas station, according to authorities.

On the off-chance you are actually serious, where else would he get gas but at a gas station.
Harris County is huge and they have contracts with gas providers throughout the county.

I’m going to call this a professional assassination.
It doesn’t fit the profile of an impromptu hit. Clearly premeditated and carried out in cold blood. He had likely been stalking him beforehand.
Things to look for:
If the truck was stolen.
Possibly a drug cartel hit.
Personal association with that Deputy.

Wouldn't a professional know better than shoot a cop in a gas station where cameras would be installed? He didn't park his truck out of camera range.
Supposedly, a suspect is in custody. He was rather sloppy to be a pro.
