Donald Trump leads the the Republican field with small businesses. A whopping 38 percent of small-business owners support Trump for president. CNBC reported: Donald Trump continues to enjoy a lead in several national polls, and it looks like his popularity surge continues among the small-business crowd.
As the campaign trail heats up on the road to the 2016 presidential election, candidates are beginning to vie for the small-business vote. According to a new poll from Manta, a small-business networking platform, Trump is the top choice among small-business owners for president with close to 38 percent of respondents selecting him. That comes even even after his performance in the recent GOP debate and tussle with Fox News moderator Megyn Kelly.
Democrat Hillary Clinton came in second with 17 percent of the vote, with Republicans Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio in a virtual tie for third place with nearly 6 percent of the vote each. Manta surveyed 815 small-business owners.
Even Trumps GOP competition, including Ohio Gov. John Kasich, have acknowledged he has struck a nerve among some voters. This seems to be the case on Main Street as well, said Jack Mozloom, director of media and communications at the National Federation of Independent Business, a conservative lobbying group.
Paging George Will. George Will please pick up the brown courtesy phone.
“Paging George Will. George Will please pick up the brown courtesy phone.”
And shove it!
I read George Will today unfortunately for my grey cells... A few of them were lost but hopefully with enough Ginkgo Biloba I can recover them... His solution to the Trump phenomenon was to ban him from the debates if he doesn’t make the pledge to not run as a third party... If the GOP did that their debates would go from 24 million to 4 million and it would be evident how little enthusiasm there is for the traditional GOP elites.. It would be in one word-— humiliating.. That George Will doesn’t understand that concept shows how out of touch with reality he is.
Hillary beating JebBer and Marco who have a measley 6% tells us how bad the rest of the field is.
That poll has got to cause some heartburn in the bowels of the Chamber of (Illegal) Commerce.
Will, and the rest of the gopE, want to lose. But they need an excuse. So, if Trump runs on a third party ticket, that’s their excuse. If he’s kicked out and Trump supporters stay home, that’s their excuse.
These people truly despise conservative voters.
I am a small business owner and clearly see that Trump is best choice for me and my business. Definitely none of the others—especially Cruz that wants a 500% increase in H1B.
You beat me to it.
Trump knows how to reach the Heart of America, the entrepenurial spirit. I have enjoyed reading his books immensely. This man Gets It!
Chamber of Commerce executives in mass suicide not seen since the days of Jim Jones.
George Will can kiss my gritz..........
I was a small business owner for 17 years until Obama’s regs finally ran me out in 2010. If Trump gets elected I’m going to start all over again. :-)
I hope these small business owners are not part of the Chamber of Commerce. If so they need to re-examine what the Chamber stands for.
Georgie Will and Kraut have never owned a business so what would he know.
Pray America is waking
“Will, and the rest of the gopE, want to lose. But they need an excuse.”
They are natural born losers, wagging their tails like pitiful dogs in hopes of getting scratched or fed by their liberal masters.
Small businesses are the backbone of this country. They create jobs. And, who better to help them than the Trump? Small businesses have taken a brutal beating under this marxist regime.
The enigma of the polls. Trump leads the polls, and the all-knowing pundits formulate reasons as to why they are all meaningless. Completely useless. And, then, they sniff around for a poll that suggest that he is losing support, and then that one is the one that is extremely meaningful. Other candidates rise in the polls, and that is celebrated as important and meaningful. Hillary Clinton declines in the polls, and she is judged to be on the brink of disaster.
