FULL TITLE: Genetic test proves President Harding DID father a love child with mistress who he would have sex with in a West Wing closet
One of the sauciest legends of the White House has finally been proven true, thanks to DNA testing.
Relatives of President Warren G Harding revealed to the New York Times on Wednesday that he did indeed father a daughter in 1919 with his longtime mistress Nan Britton, after receiving the results of a genetic test linking them to the son of the love child.
Rumors of Harding's infidelity became tabloid fodder in 1927, when Britton authored a tell-all on their secret relationship, revealing juicy facts like the fact that they used to have sex in a West Wing closet.
But Britton's claim that she bore Harding's one-and-only offspring was treated with heavy skepticism, as the president's family insisted that he had was sterile due to a childhood case of the mumps.

Didn’t Harding have a stroke? I’ve heard he was good looking. Founded the Veterans Administration. Had a big argument with a college prof over Malcolm Gladwell’s interpretation of Harding.

His brother was known to hang out with blacks and I recently just read about Jefferson and the death of his wife. His daughter stated that he was inconsolable for weeks. I seriously doubt that he had that affair. If he did, however, then it seriously lowers him in my estimation. I wonder why I always hear about Jefferson’s supposed affair, but I rarely hear about Hamilton’s. Hamilton has always irked me, however, so reading about his affair(s) didn’t shock me.

Yes, hypocrisy will hit you in the a$$ every time. Jefferson’s wife and Jefferson’s mistress, Sally Hemmings were both the daughters of a wealthy slaveholding landowner. Jefferson loved is wife very much and was devastated when she died. She also made him promise to never marry again. What would you have done living his life and time?

The tentative explanation is that Cleveland was taking the rap for a close friend who, unlike Cleveland, was married.
