Hillary Clinton‘s tax returns will not only set a major obstacle in her campaign to prove herself a Regular Person™ but, according to CNN reporter Jeff Zeleny, they prove her past statements to be completely false.
According to her latest tax returns, released by the campaign late this week, the Clintons earned nearly $141 million from 2007 to 2014.
And as CNN’s senior Washington correspondent Zeleny told John King on Sunday, such enormous wealth definitively contradicts the candidate’s assertion to Diane Sawyer that she and her husband were “dead broke.”

That is correct and that should have been pointed out. I’m so sick of articles that are written dishonestly. I’m no fan of the beast but it’s bad enough keeping up with her CURRENT lies without implying the “dead broke” lie applies to current years.
Anyone with more than 2 brain cells knew they could not buy a house in the District of Corruption and a house in NY if they were “dead broke”.
Only those engaging in denial believed that when it came out of Hillary’s mouth. It flies in the face of facts.

What you say is true regarding 2001. But it is nice to see CNN going after the beast and lying about her, or misrepresenting what she said. Maybe it will stick.
If you wrote a book continuing that narrative I would consider a purchase.

Hillary campaigned for and was elected US Senator from New York in November of 2000. Dead broke people do not have successful EXPENSIVE campaigns unless they have sold their office wholesale or else the power-brokers know they can be bought. Granted, the fact that she ran for US Senate while FLOTUS was unprecedented, odious, and a smear on the body politic of both New York and the United States.
It is surprising.
