The American political class has failed the country and should be fired. That is the clearest message from the summer surge of Bernie Sanders and the remarkable rise of Donald Trump.

But it seems like a good headline and a good first paragraph, so I'll go ahead with posting this anyway.
:D
And I will repeat the question, just for discussion:
Could Trump actually win?
Absolutely.
But only is he and Ted Cruz lose the Republicans and go Independent. Their alliance would be unstoppable.
The campaign would be unstoppable of course, but the governing body they would assemble will bring us back to our rightful place in the world. They are our only chance to once again be the land of the free; the home of the brave.
It’s the only way. Staying under the RNC umbrella will only hamstring their efforts, if not totally undermine them.
And the time to do this is now. Not after the primaries.
I think he can. We all know illegals are causing huge problems. Either we are a nation of JUST laws...or we are not.
SHUDDER
Could He Win? To quote PT Barnum "There's A Sucker Born Every Minute."
Sorry....Cruz belongs in the Attorney general column.
“Could Trump actually win?”
Ask yourself - could he afford the cut in pay?
Obviously he could not be running his financial empire at the same time he is serving as President, that would be a conflict of interest a hundred times as great as the financial shenanigans that Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold & Joyless is now embroiled in, and while The Donald may delegate some aspects of running that empire, he probably would not put it in a “blind trust”, normally required of anyone in public office where such a conflict of interest may arise.
The Donald may win sufficient votes for nomination, but he would surrender that to another of practically his personal choosing, and keep a close hand in the restoration of the White House as a cleansed symbol and as the shining center of that “city on the hill”.
My humble opinion is that he can & he better or else America is in deep poopie.
Also that it is imperative that he run as an independent. If he trusts the GOPe to be honest & trustworthy, then he’s not as smart as I give him credit for (which I doubt).
Speaking of deep poopie, can the republicans even win without the South? Cause they’ve made a lot of people decide to sit home or vote third party.
Rule thirteen of the Republican Convention will basically deny Trump the win. This is where almost half the delegates show up and have nothing to do with the primary and are unassigned...the VIP and lobbyists players. Even if Trump takes twenty-five wins of the fifty states, and five guys split the remainder....Trump can’t overcome rule thirteen and the crowd of insider players.
Now, let’s say by some miracle....he does make it past rule 13...then you have a Hillary-Trump situation. I can’t imagine her surviving a single debate with Trump...there’s just no way.
Then you come to 2016 and President Trump having to deal with the Senate. Zero cooperation with the current Republican folks. I think you’d have to replace a dozen Republicans before you’d get any real deals organized. I will admit...it would be curious to watch the lobbyists having to deal with a guy who knows precisely how to deal out an executive order and won’t hesitate.
Just saying.
Who else is supporting American jobs?
I don’t see anyone else on our side of the aisle, making one single sound about our trade situation.
Nobody.
You’ve got a point.
But do you mean an AG only, or in lieu of being President?
Not trying to give you a hard time just wondering what you think. If AG only (and a strong case can be made for that), whom would you choose for Veep?
(hint, hint)
I myself, am 100% completely for Sarah Palin as the Vice Presidental candidate, this time to win.
Have been since before McCain ever picked her for his running mate, way back in 2008.
I suggest Trump pick Palin.
Absolutely. I watched Morning Joe this morning instead of Fox n Friends.
All the hateful libtards are really worried now, including Howard Dean.
Mark Halprin held a "Frank Luntz" type focus group in NH and the comments even shocked Joe Scarborough.
The main theme of the comments were" Even though DT is rich, he's one of us!"
People are deathly sick of politicians and their scripted words.
They're also utterly sick of the biased news media! LOL.
Certainly not the guy who wants to increase H1B visas 500%.
First of all Im not a Trump fan but will vote for him in the general election. Secondly there wouldnt even be a “Trump” if there was an opposition party to the RATS.
Not only can Trump win, he will win big. He may be the only person alive that can save the Republicans from themselves.
Good points...but lets see how this all shakes out.
As for VP for Donald....Not ready to commit to anyone yet. I like Walker for several reasons but I'm just sitting on that VP possibility.
If Trump sweeps the primaries, and he is cheated at the convention, there will be trouble. Why would he not be like any other candidate? Remember if in the end he has won everything, he will have gotten enough party bureaucrats with him because they want influence.
Boy, you really are a bit of a bummer.
