A viral video that shows a Florida man receiving a warning for allowing the smell of barbecue to waft off his property has some smoking mad.
Scotty Jordan uploaded a video on July 22 to Facebook that he says shows Pinellas County environmental specialist Joe Graham issuing a warning to Jordan and a friend for violating the county’s air quality law. The video, which has been watched over four million times, shows Graham telling Jordan that there's too much smoke emanating from Jordan's commercial-grade grill.
“I just took three pictures of smoke,” Graham explains. “I can smell it again right now. You’re allowed to have it smell on your property, so that doesn’t count, but when I’m on the street, that’s when it counts.”
Jordan can be heard laughing in the video as the specialist continues to explain the problem.
“Is that against the law?” one of the men questions.
Graham proceeds to pull out his handbook and informs the men that neighbors are allowed to call in if they have concerns about barbecue smoke. Pinellas County has a 24 hour hotline for residents to call in an emergency air quality complaint.

Nothing like 16-18 lbs of pork butts smoking in my Webber for 10-12 hrs.
My neighborhood has typical American backyards...the smell BBQ smoke most weekends and holidays...
It doesn’t make me mad..it just makes me think about grilling some meat..

If you are competent at using a grill, you wont be producing tons of smoke.

Most likely a woman is involved, financial matters, and employment instability. When your world is ablaze, you are bothered by others smoke.
Video observed the lady has a camera in her window pointed at his house.
That little smoke nazi would have goose stepped back to his car with that handbook shoved up his stupid arse.
I’d consider filing a complaint about him vandalizing my landscaping by stepping on my lawn. [shrug] It’s about the same level of “harm” as the BBQ smell.
An old woman filed the complaint.If you watch the video you’ll her the man say that she’s been bitchin’ about anything she could since she moved in 3 years ago.
I have an annual Limburger Cheeseburger Fest at my place with 6-7 good friends and a lot of beer. When I start cooking the neighbors are all “Holy, crap, who died in the neighborhood?” and one about three doors away yelled across the whole neighbor hood “Who shiite on the barbecue grill?” Even though they were not specifically invited they show up and eat a limburger delight, drink my beer and we have a hell of a good time.
