Miss Oklahoma, Olivia Jordan, was crowned the 64th Miss USA on Sunday night but that wasnt the most entertaining part of the night. Rather it was a very interesting answer from Miss Nevada, Brittany McGowan, during the Q&A portion of the pageant.
McGowan -- who had already tripped over her dress during the evening gown competition -- was asked by a judge what she would do to improve race relations in the United States. She appeared taken aback by the question but still tried to reply saying: What I would do to improve race relations in the U.S. is get more racist groups together and be able to be with each other in a non ummm, lets see.
Realizing that she was butchering the answer, she tried to collect herself.
I apologize. I think what we need to do is bring..ahhh we need to be more accepting of each other and we need to bring people together.
She smiled at the camera knowing she fumbled the interview portion, and lost her chance at the crown. Well, at the very least this pageant contestant will be remembered in the flub hall of fame.
And there's still no answer for world peace.

RE: Can you imagine if someone actually answered any of these questions?
Well, someone did just that a few years ago and look what happened to her?
Remember the Miss USA Pageant several years ago?
He allowed a transvestite blogger who calls himself Perez Hilton to be a judge.
Carrie Prejean was favored to win that year until Perez Hilton asked her a question about gay marriage.
She honestly answered that she has a Christian upbringing and she supported traditional marriage.
For this, she was denounced as a bigot, called a bitch by Perez Hilton publicly and lost.
She was also denounced by many people in the media.
And as for this in the above : He allowed a transvestite blogger who calls himself Perez Hilton to be a judge.
“He” above refers to none other than the current Presidential candidate — DONALD TRUMP.
“Miss Congeniality”
LOL!
I’d vote for that girl. +1
Donald Trump owns the Miss Universe pageant, not Miss America. As such, he could have had nothing to do with Perez Hilton’s appointment as a Miss America judge. Shame on you.
Just Niiiiiiiiice!
I’ve often wondered how they’d react if they asked me such a question.
First thing we need to do is unflinchingly face facts, no matter how uncomfortable. Then we can figure out how to deal with them. But as long as we ignore facts, no policy can possibly be effective.
Not guilty
RE: Donald Trump owns the Miss Universe pageant, not Miss America.
The pageant Carrie Prejean competed in is MISS USA (NOT Miss America), which Donald Trump’s Miss Universe Organization owns.
The runner-up was Miss Texas. “Fox & Friends” played a clip of one of her answers which was great. I think they are going to try to get her to appear on their program.
She was gorgeous but I wouldn’t let her operate a moving vehicle. Including dishwashers or clothes dryers.
