Squirrel breeding is a real joband apparently a very dangerous one if you're dealing with the wrong kind of squirrel. After the mysterious deaths of three German men who all worked as breeders of variegated squirrelsa kind of squirrel native to Central America that's sometimes kept as an exotic petresearchers have identified a new virus that had apparently jumped from the squirrels to the men, LiveScience reports.
The men, who were in their 60s and regularly socialized together, died between 2011 and 2013 from inflammation of the brain, and researchers say at least two of them had been scratched or bitten by the squirrels.

Officials found that hoarding nuts was the first sign of this deadly disease.
Note to self: Avoid new squirrels.
Squirrels are basically “Tree Rats”
Just how, exactly, were these guys breeding the squirrels?
“...regularly socialized together...”
Heh, heh. Yeah.
Now we know where Nully got his one graphic and why.
From the article, “Squirrel breeding is a real job..”
They shouldn’t be breeding with squirrels to begin with.. sickos. :)
Very, very carefully...
“Just how, exactly, were these guys breeding the squirrels? “
Haha.. I thought you said breeding “with” squirrels.
I suspect that maybe they were trying to breed with them...
I’ve been scratching my head to give my nuts a break.
I’ve been bitten by a squirrel, their teeth are like little razor blades.
Better not feed them out of my hand for a while until they’ve got a handle on this virus, eh?
I don’t have squirrels. If one is foolish enough to show on my property, either I dispatch them or the dog does. Ever since they nested in my spare pickup and did about 3 grand in damage, I have zero tolerance for the little rats
I’ve got a slingshot and a bag of 1/4 inch hex nuts for ammo. I can’t let the wife see me shooting at them though.
I know a guy who has squirrel in his freezer. They actually taste pretty good.
My sister feeds squirrels using her limited income.
She is nuts!
