Americans again bought vehicles that sit up high and come loaded with features like backup cameras and smartphone capabilities in June. Horsepower was also in; gas-sipping not so much.

SUVs of all sizes continued to fly off dealer lots. Sales of the larger Ford Explorer rose 30 percent; Nissan's Rogue small SUV posted a 54 percent jump; and sales of the Jeep Cherokee gained 39 percent.

Liberal: But...but....but we need Obama to ban these carbon polluting, earth killing monsters. Everyone should be required to buy a hybrid.

I personally drive a Ford Explorer; big, lots of room and I can drive safely in the snow.

Yup that’s what happens when you build cars that people want, they buy them.

Interesting piece from a propaganda study point of view. I’ll paraphrase it.

Everyone is buying SUVs and powerful cars with the latest in high tech. options! Low, low prices! Race to your nearest dealer, and buy now!

I wonder how much the ad cost.

Backup cameras will start being required next spring, so they aren’t really characteristic of ‘loaded’ cars.

SUVs and upscale/up-powered cars yield the profits that make government-mandated cars available at all.

The new CAFE standard in the ‘20’s is 51 MPG. They selected that number because the best current hybrid, the Prius, gets only 50MPG. The idea is to force everybody to buy an electric only car. (I drive an average of 100 miles each day. Oh, joy.)

Most Americans don’t want to drive a Toyota Vagina . . . err Prius? Whodathunkit.

Interesting details in body design there, although much more subtle—some subtle details that appeared in more obvious forms during recent years from sports car building collaborations. Any readers here like to build cars?

Imagine driving a car that weighs around 1,000 pounds and experiences about 4Gs of down force.

I don’t know much about them, but the new Mustang is a great looking coupe.

It's amazing how total strangers come up to you and say,

Hopefully it doesn’t have EcoBoost. Not only is that feature an abomination to Ford, it is even more so to repeat the path of the Mustang II.

That, and regular fuel with more cylinders is more preferable to less cylinders and the need for premium.
