A New York man who sought help from a fortuneteller to fix a romantic relationship says she scammed him out of more than $700,000.
Now the allegations have the Manhattan psychic, Priscilla Delmaro, and another person facing charges of grand larceny.
The 32-year-old Brooklyn man told police he consulted Delmaro in August 2013 who told him that evil spirits were keeping him from a woman he claimed to love and wanted to be with who did not share his same affections, The New York Times reported ( http://nyti.ms/1dU288a ).

The fortune teller saw his fortune coming.
A fool and his money......
caveat emptor
Obama voter, Hillary supporter. Wanna bet?
Hold on... I’m calculating my level of sympathy....
More of those sophisticated new yawkers; so much smarter than the rest of us hayseeds out in fly-over country...
Goodness, do you know how many successful “romantic relationships” I could have for 700 Grand?
If I had $700k of walkin’ around money I don’t think I would have much trouble meeting women.
As they say, "you can't fix stupid".
I have met TWO people who might have some “gift.”
One is a near-billionaire with a great familiy. He just quietly plays stocks and keeps his life VERY private.
The other is a shaman living in squalor on a reservation. He simply does not care about material things.
Neithher plays the fortune teller game.
“Fortune tellers” are ALL scammers IMHO. Most use “cold read” techniques, that’s it.
And if someone is stupid enough to pay fortune tellers money, well, too bad, so sad...
Like a nice house, nay mansion, in most parts of the country.
He gave $700K to a fortune teller? He is an idiot.
He’s an idiot. Then again we’re all getting scammed out of *trillions* in taxes on a routine basis.
So there ya have it.
“According to the man, those payments included $80,000 for an 80-mile bridge she said would trap evil spirits into another realm”
Darn it. The fortune teller beat me to this guy.
I don’t believe this story. Methinks a book or two, a movie, and an appearance on Oprah totaling 1MM or more is the game plan.
I hate when people are cruel to dumb animals.
If they are that good they have real skills. Just not supernatural.
