Warner Bros. Pictures announced on Tuesday that the life story of Capt. Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger is coming to the big screen in a yet-to-be named motion picture that will be directed by none other than Clint Eastwood.
The film will be adapted from Sully's book, "Highest Duty: My Search for What Really Matters," co-written with Jeffery Zaslow.

Ummmm, no thanks.
I agree w casting Gary Sinise.
.
yes that would be cool however Eastwood would an is known to and would be great to find an unknown for the roll
Never had a lesson i can recite his movies verboten
Blood work was great with Wanda De Jesus
I can’t think of one of his movies that I thought was a dud.Eastwood is irreplaceable. I know he is getting on up in years but I pray he’s is around and thriving for many more. Eastwood along with Selleck are of the few Conservatives in that industry.
I have NO CLUE as to what this guy did other than landing that plane on the Hudson.
But by the title of the book (searching for what really matters) I could see a story along the lines of loving airplanes as a kid, going into the airforce and fighting (is he old enough for Vietnam?) All sorts of stuff in there on “what really matters”.
Then coming back home - flying cargo planes maybe? Private jets? Commerical airplanes.
Again - I have no clue. But I bet the conclusion of the book (and his life story) is that not even his safe landing of the plane is the culmination of “what matters”. It will probably be how he did things along the way, and how he treated people.
I would go see a movie like that.
I knew that, but hey, go on maxtanic films on you tube, I show how I crashed my Bonanza.
Sully was in my class ('73) at the Air Force Academy. Vietnam had pretty much wrapped up by the time we graduated.
I believe the book presents Sully’s entire adult life, so a much younger actor would be needed.
Hey - at least I guess him being in the Air Force correctly! I figured he was on the fence for being old enough. Hard to believe it has been that long ago now.
One of my buddies told me Capt Sully was stationed at my old base, the 50th Tactical Fighter Wing at Hahn Air Base Germany, USAFE. I do not know the Time Frame. F-4s until early 80s converted to F-16s, Base Closed in 1991.
