Nearly 60% of WEDC funds have gone to Walker, GOP donors

The article at this link provides a detailed report of taxpayer money awarded to Walker donors through the agency he created and Chaired, WEDC.
The link to the full report is at the end of the article.
An Audit of WEDC was just completed and has been turned over to prosecutors at the end of May this year. The Prosecutor's office delayed their investigation until receiving the completed Audit Findings.
I am retired.
I corrected my typo. “Unlike other candidates who have likely never read it (the Constitution), Cruz can quote the entire Constitution by heart.”
I believe at some point, probably the debates, Cruz will likely point out the records of other candidates himself. That is not a personal attack. There is a difference. Cruz will have no problem with anyone working on his behalf that gives information about another candidate’s record. Other than looking at their performance record, how else can anyone assess a candidate?
What has Walker said that he will do as President that you support?
It would have been better if he had been even handed in handling the Unions instead of picking winners and losers based on their support of him.
Another thing I dislike is how Walker takes credit for everything that gets done and never mentions his Republican led legislature. Right now, they have just passed legislation that takes another step forward in the Right to Work initiative. If he hasn’t already, how long do you think it will take Walker to run to the cameras and toot his own horn?
In reality, Walker has been on the campaign trail, in Israel, on a motorcycle tour, and he just returned from Canada. All the while, those who do the real work, the legislature, were back at home hard at work on putting together and passing that bill. Walker’s M. O. is to schedule a bill signing event/photo op and take all the credit.
BTW, who do you think has been footing the bill for all his campaigning trips? Yep, Wisconsin taxpayers.
Bullshit.
Yes, Walker is also a politician. I’ll give you that.
The reason that you support Walker for President is “Bullshit”?
What has he said he would do as President that has you excited and supporting him?
I hardly think Hillary is going to be able to use this against him. Not with her past.
I wouldn’t take that bet. Hillary will do just that and with anyone stupid enough to vote for her it’ll sell.
It’ll be, “See, I’m not the only one, but I stand for the everyday American!”
You are a mole.
And you know it...and I know it.
On pages 26 and 27, they break it down. Two loans were written off. Five were forgiven and we don't know the terms of forgiveness. 6 were either in collections or under review, 34 were deferred. You could be sloppy and say "many had been written off", or you could be exact, or you could simply refer people to the audit. You chose to be sloppy.
Anyone who was interested in getting to the truth would know that the audit was provided for that reason. Now that you’ve clarified and broken it down, the result is still the same. Gross mismanagement under Chairman Walker.
In another thread conservativejoy claimed ""The GOP prosecutor voted for Walker and he says that the mismanagement of the WEDC is a disgrace. He is not dismissing it."" I pressed for a name and he said "The current prosecutor is Ishmael Ozanne. One of his deputy prosecutors said the WEDC mess was a disgrace." But Ismael Ozanne is a partisan hack DA, not a "prosecutor" or "The Prosecutor" as conservativejoy calls him. He has 30 prosecutors in his office (or had when he was appointed). I don't have names or party affiliations.
Sloppy at best. I guess we could chalk it up to all the trash liberal websites you read that bash Walker. They must have confused you.
As collective punishment I am asking you both to read this report from the WEDC: http://inwisconsin.com/inside-wedc/impact/ CLick on the link that says "Click here to download the report." It is a puff piece by the WEDC, but gives a perspective on what they are trying to do and how. Also consider that all states do this, for better or for worse. Sometimes they are organized like the WEDC, other times it is just the governor or legislature offering incentives one company at a time.
Do we need to watch Walker and make sure he is not corrupt? Yes. Do we need to repeat talking points from his political enemies that have no substance or even make up some? No.
Agreed............
I can promise you that if I find the GOP prosecutors comments, I will let you know, but I am not going to waste a lot of time hunting down something you will completely dismiss anyway. If you think Walker’s management of the WEDC is not dismally lacking at best and may be even worse, then your standards are extremely low in what you would consider is a sound fiscal policy for this country.
Wisconsin is projected to have a 2 billion dollar deficit at the end of this fiscal year.
Where are the jobs that Walker promised and when is he going to acknowledge all the jobs that people in his state lost when these companies outsourced their livelihoods overseas?
That's a good question to ask all the candidates.
I don’t think the other candidates have to answer for Walker’s WEDC crap, but it’s time he does.
IMO, TPA is much worse than an non-secret agency like WEDC. OTOH, Cruz has a very principled opposition to the crony-capitalist ExIm bank which is also worse than WEDC. But TPA is bad particularly in how it would allow other countries to force socialism and radical environmentalism on our country. So kudos to Cruz for that.
Bottom line, you (or we) need to ask all the candidates what they will do for jobs, not just beat up Walker for his attempt.
Meant to say: NO kudos to Cruz for handing TPA authority to Obama.
and I quote: The Politico and Politifact have reported the same statistic
Anyone who thinks Politifact or Politico are some kind of truth telling organization conservatives should listen to is either a fool, a troll, or both.
He/she's the pissant of this election, you know you can depend on he/she to misinform, and cause dissension to try to destroy a good conservative candidate.
