In another thread conservativejoy claimed ""The GOP prosecutor voted for Walker and he says that the mismanagement of the WEDC is a disgrace. He is not dismissing it."" I pressed for a name and he said "The current prosecutor is Ishmael Ozanne. One of his deputy prosecutors said the WEDC mess was a disgrace." But Ismael Ozanne is a partisan hack DA, not a "prosecutor" or "The Prosecutor" as conservativejoy calls him. He has 30 prosecutors in his office (or had when he was appointed). I don't have names or party affiliations.
Sloppy at best. I guess we could chalk it up to all the trash liberal websites you read that bash Walker. They must have confused you.
As collective punishment I am asking you both to read this report from the WEDC: http://inwisconsin.com/inside-wedc/impact/ CLick on the link that says "Click here to download the report." It is a puff piece by the WEDC, but gives a perspective on what they are trying to do and how. Also consider that all states do this, for better or for worse. Sometimes they are organized like the WEDC, other times it is just the governor or legislature offering incentives one company at a time.
Do we need to watch Walker and make sure he is not corrupt? Yes. Do we need to repeat talking points from his political enemies that have no substance or even make up some? No.
Agreed............
I can promise you that if I find the GOP prosecutors comments, I will let you know, but I am not going to waste a lot of time hunting down something you will completely dismiss anyway. If you think Walker’s management of the WEDC is not dismally lacking at best and may be even worse, then your standards are extremely low in what you would consider is a sound fiscal policy for this country.
Wisconsin is projected to have a 2 billion dollar deficit at the end of this fiscal year.
Where are the jobs that Walker promised and when is he going to acknowledge all the jobs that people in his state lost when these companies outsourced their livelihoods overseas?
