Rove Super Pac in Talks With Walker
5/21/2015 | Eric Licthbau and Maggie Haberman

Posted on 06/02/2015 4:54:42 PM PDT by conservativejoy

Many have theorized on here that Rove was working to undermine Walker. As it turns out, his Super Pac is in talks with Walkers campaign.

This is from the article in the NY Times.

2013. A fund-raising advisory group formed by Crossroads after Mr. Barbour’s departure failed to accomplish much.

More recently, Carl Forti, the longtime Crossroads political director who simultaneously worked on the pro-Romney super PAC Restore our Future, in 2012, is said by four people with direct knowledge of the discussions to have been in talks with at least one 2016 campaign — that of Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin, who is not yet an official candidate. Mr. Forti did not respond to an email seeking comment.

A history of personal tensions between Mr. Rove and Jeb Bush could further undercut the group’s role in the presidential race, should Mr. Bush emerge as his party’s nominee.

It does and I do. Which is easy when one stops pretending the GOPe doesn’t have a record on issues.

The Bush family married into the Walker family, that’s what the “Dubya” in Bush 43’s name stands for and his father has it as one of his middle names, as his mother was a Walker. Has anyone looked into how or if they’re related?

I think I remember Walker saying that they were distantly related to the Bushs.

Don’t worry friend. I’m not a Democrat troll. I admittedly am not sold on Ted Cruz (and none of the others either at the present), but he will get my vote if he’s the nominee. The thought of a President Clinton II, a President Fauxahontas, a President Sanders, or a President O’Malley is reason enough to get out there and vote in November, 2016. The Republican Party has sold us down the river the last few decades, and I’m just wary of anyone now with an R by their name. I think you should be too. That’s all I’m saying. Not trying to start a fight here.

Forti seems to be a multi-tasker, having worked simultaneously for Rove’s and Romney’s PACs. The excerpt states that HE, Forti, not Rove’s superpac is in talks with Walker. These professional campaign types go from candidate to candidate, PAC to PAC. Maybe we could just wait to see what, if anything, emerges from the purported talks?

The supposed Scott Walker - Bush family relationship is a staple of Illuminati conspiracy theorists, Left and Right.

If there is a relationship, it is distant enough to require specialist research and isn’t readily apparent. Go back far enough, and the Bush family is related to Obama via the Dunhams. They’re all Illuminati, I tell ya!

There is still a lot of wait and see between now and the primaries. We’re just at the vetting stage now.

Nathan, you have been around for awhile, but you seem a bit naïve. Most of the posters on this website are prone to believe and make up every horrible thing about any candidate other than their own choice.

Other candidates have dark, dark, dark tendencies with secret connections to the GOPe, complete with decoder ring and encrypted messaging.

See, most of these jokers are fairly insecure and it is not good enough to support their own candidate, but they have to bash, malign and generally hate on other candidates. You really would think Walker is the head of a group that goes around killing and maiming conservatives and babies under 6 months old.

Just last week, Cruz supporters got the vapors when he supported the free trade bill and proceeded to prescribe the worst intentions and blasphemies to Cruz, their now former candidate. I wonder who they are going to support now since Cruz was supposed to be The Answer To Everything.

This used to be a great site - lots of thoughtful people and posts, but many of those people have left due to the numerous haters on this site.

In any other universe, Walker would be lauded and would be a party hero (he is, but you would never know it on this site.) I think it is possible to support Cruz and also acknowledge the incredible accomplishments Walker has done for Wisconsin. He has shown how a leader walks and talks. I think Cruz will make an incredible leader, too.

Just be prepared that if you venture into a Walker thread be prepared for Cruz supporters to accuse him of the most vile things - it's a reflection of how society is at the moment.

It’s a “staple” is it? I’ve never heard it before it entered my mind an hour ago. I spent way too much time in intelligence to believe in coincidence, but that’s me. Just because you call something a “conspiracy theory” doesn’t make it true or false. And how do you know how closely related they are? Are you a genealogist?

Do you think walker would do this? It's insane and I pray he stays away from Rove & Co.
Just talking to the guy will turn away voters from him, even in the future.

Have a breath of relief, Fauxahontas is out before the gate was brought to the field.
Probably bought and paid for by Hillary but that's only speculation.

Just saw the batch of stories about that too. I have no doubt Warren wants to be president, but I think she’s playing a hunch that Hillary won’t win next year and she’ll be the odds on favorite for the nomination in 2020.
