Taco Bell, KFC may try home delivery

Yum Brands operates three fast-food restaurant giants: KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut. Of those, only Pizza Hut has a well-established delivery business. Taco Bell and KFC could soon be next. Yum ( YUM ) Chief Executive Greg Creed told analysts on Wednesday that there is potential for food delivery across all three of its chains, saying Taco Bell delivery in particular could be “a massive sales driver for the brand.” “What we want to do is get into a test, probably a couple of stores near a couple of college campuses,” Creed said. At-home delivery makes up a tiny sliver of the food-service industry’s sales. But the market is alluring, as more consumers, particularly Millennials, use their mobile devices to place orders. Rapid demand for restaurant orders, enabled by e-commerce sites such as Seamless, has driven interest by larger chains to tinker with ways to deliver easily to consumers’ homes. But don’t expect Taco Bell to be delivered every day, all day. Yum says it wouldn’t deliver Taco Bell during lunch hours. It also seems more likely that deliveries would occur on weekend nights, rather than during the week.

Drug enforcement officers just need to follow the delivery vehicle. Probable cause.

Why not.

Most people sure as hell won’t stop at KFC or Taco Bell.

So they might as well deliver that slop to us.

Nothing says Ariba like a cold soggy taco.

I thought independent “takeout taxi” service providers already did this on college campuses and to corporate offices at lunch...

We will see if there is any market for this. Personally I vote no. Have no interest in soggy cold taco delivery from Taco Bell.

Taco Hell fare especially. If you don’t eat that stuff on the walk back to your table, it’s inedible.
Delivered? Given a chance to cool and congeal? Aaaaaackkk!

Terrific. These days, people don’t even have to go to the maibox to get their welfare check, the govermnet just re-charges their EBT card.

Now they can have McDonald’s delived right to their door.

No reason to even shower and get dressed anymore.

You could have a burrito supreme sent through the U.S. mail to your house, reheat it and it would probably taste the same as when it was originally made.

I don’t know if they ever did it system wide, but various KFC’s have tried delivery in the past... none ever kept it up for long.

On certain nights of the year, like Cinco de Mayo or Super Bowl Games, having that home delivery job may be more dangerous than joining ISIS. Most the time, all is fine, but once in a while, recipients of home delivered food become downright primitive in their greed. Happens with Pizza Deliverers all the time.

A guy was walking down the street and looked at two bums and said “I will give the laziest one $10” one guy slowly opened his hand the other said put it in my pocket.

I remember going to this one courthouse, a county with a lot of Scandinavians, early in the morning (mostly `proceeding supplementals’, i.e. “Why haven’t you paid me?”) and quite a few there were dressed in their pajamas, robes and slippers.

Yeah, this will make it even easier for even less effortless underprivileged dining by the down-and-out on our dime.
(So whaddya want? Good grammar or a bucket of chicken?)
