According to Family, Grace Lee Whitney has passed away peacefully this past weekend May 1, 2015 in her Coarsegold home.

I wanted him dead : )
” Great time to be a little kid, back then. Time Tunnel... Land of the Giants ... Wild Wild West... Loved them all.”
Now all we get is scripted(poorly) reality shows, which cost almost nothing to make.
You and twenty million other guys... :^)
Exactly - low budgets, maximum profits,
“...reality shows...”
But... but ... they’re so ... REAL...
/s
Even the ones I watch occasionally, are being ruined. I watched Pawn Stars for 2 reasons ONLY
1) interesting specimens
2) history behind them
Then some morn decided they needed a sub plot.
HORRIBLE scripted crap, with the cast reading a teleprompter.
They all look humiliated too. Pure excrement.
The GF and I got sick of the HGTV shows too - poorly scripted and generally unrealistic.
HomoGayTV.
Before, when they had “fix it yourself” stuff on it wasn’t.
Now...yeah... Plus the material/labor costs are completely unrealistic.
Even the ones that are good get messed with. These producers screw up a cash cow. Amazing.
Yep.
The Dr Smith of the first few episodes and the Dr Smith of the following seasons were like day and night.
Same with the Robot,
The original Dr Smith was not fat and lazy and stupid, he was evil and diabolical
And the robot was a robot, not that clown character that he became,
Every time these first four episodes are on I watch them.
As I said, I saw them on TV prime time in the 1960s first run as a little boy and they terrified and also captivated me, so I couldn't miss an episode that first season.
Interesting.
It’s hard to envision him speaking with a Bronx accent, lol.
Dr. Bellows was a fagolo?
I always felt bad for Dr. Bellows.
“Piper, played by legendary Westerner actor Paul Fix, “
Oh, the doctor from that one episode. Yeah they could have used that character too.
The unseen CMO who died in the reboot was named “Purie” as I recall. Just a stupid contrivance to get McCoy in the job.
It’s been quite awhile since I’ve seen the LIS movie. I remember thinking it was stupid when Oldman changed into a spider monster. And that Lacey Chabert was cute.
” Every time these first four episodes are on I watch them.”
i WILL CATCH EM THE NEXT TIME.
I had a vague recollection of where Dr. Bellows found out the “secret”, but other than letting that happen in a series finale, it would’ve killed the show.
Hayden Rorke’s “spouse”, Justus Addiss, directed many tv shows including some Twilight Zone eps (one of my personal TZ favorites, The Odyssey of Flight 33, he directed).
Re: Paul Fix. It was surprising he was hired, since he was about 65, getting a bit long in the tooth to do an action series (at least 65-year olds of that era) and three decades older than Shatner and Nimoy.
I didn’t remember the name of the unseen CMO in the reboot, though obviously yet another ill-researched gaffe in a long line (including having NuMcCoy with brown eyes, nevermind NuTeenKirk having bright blue eyes, both unforgiveable).
LIS reboot: Yes, Lacey was cute, though Heather Graham was her usual smoking hotness (though she played it as a real bitch), but I couldn’t take Joey Tribiani as Major West. They managed to make all the characters generally unlikeable, in fact, that familial dysfunction likely would’ve been a disqualifier for sending them as a pioneer family into space.
One of the last episodes, it was just a dream of Major Nelson (ironic foreshadowing for "Dallas").
The Odyssey of Flight 33
I like that one too. Too bad none of the attempts to bring back "The Twilight Zone" ever got it right.

I rarely notice eye colors but, that's not good.
Joey Tribiani as Major West
Yeah, it's been a while but I remember he sucked.
There was a hilarious skit on "Family Guy" once, it's not online cause of copyright nazis but it went.
Peter Griffin: Wow, I'm even better than that dad from Lost In Space.
[flashback]
Dad: We need to chart this planet. Greg, you take my 16 year old blonde daughter out in the chariot for the rest of the day. Penny, you stay with me. And Will, you and the robot go out into the uncharted wilderness and take this mincing, boy-hungry peadophile with you.
It’s like I said, it had a good “look” to it, but the storyline and the family relationships were awful (and they relied on the latter as the central plot point, which was far afield from the original show). As for Mimi Rogers, she never did much for me. I always thought she was sort of a weird person (although Heather Graham is hot, as a person, she is rather insufferable).
