The Weekly Gardening Thread is a weekly gathering of folks that love soil, seeds and plants of all kinds. From complete newbies that are looking to start that first potted plant, to gardeners with some acreage, to Master Gardener level and beyond, we would love to hear from you. This thread is non-political, although you will find that most here are conservative folks.
No matter what, you wont be flamed and the only dumb question is the one that isnt asked. It is impossible to hijack the Weekly Gardening Thread. Planting, Harvest to Table(recipes)preserving, good living - there is no telling where it will go and... that is part of the fun and interest. Jump in and join us!
NOTE: This is a once a week ping list. We do post to the thread during the week. Links to related articles and discussions which might be of interest are welcomed, so feel free to post them at any time.
Saves on me doing dishes, and that is important to me right now.

Tomorrow is a big deal for me.
I'm not quite back up to 110 pounds yet, but I'll go with what I've got.
Tomorrow (Friday) I have a follow up appointment with the MD that did my 15 radiation treatments.
Those treatments only treated my brain cancer, and did nothing for the other cancers we know I have.
If everything goes right tomorrow, I'll begin my HEME/ONC treatment for the lung cancers and other stuff that I have.
I've been made to understand that this is even rougher than the radiation treatments I received.
I need prayers on this. I would like to get treatment started on the lung and other cancers that I have that haven't been treated in the 4 months that we've known for sure that I had them.
Hard, I don't mind. Prayers, I would like.
Any thoughts my way tomorrow would be greatly appreciated. I don't expect to have a nice weekend, either way.
Thanks to all for the prayers so far.

Prayers your other cancers can be treated.
God Be With You, J Random
Will continue to keep you in my prayers, Johnny. Especially tomorrow and for toleration and success with the new treatments.
May God bless, keep and heal you. In Jesus’ name.
It’s never a bad time to ask for prayers. You are doing us a favor, as it helps us spiritually as it helps you. I spend a lot of my day in prayer as I go about my business.I’ve been praying for you every day as I know many on FR are. Jesus will help you to carry your cross. Prayers tomorrow that they address the chemo, type and amount will the utmost care. Please let us know how you are doing. And please get whatever home nursing help you can. If anyone should get the best health care it should be veterans. God bless! And using styro plates is not just a single guy thing. I buy them by the stack, found some really tough ones made out of wheat chaff.
I don't know when I'll be able to post again tomorrow. I may post early and be fine. I may post late and things be less than wonderful.
For some reason, I'm a little concerned about tomorrow.

Thanks for your efforts to write all that info. I have copied and saved all you have written from the beginning.
Have a good sleep and don’t worry. What difference does it make? :)
But yep, you have a point. I'm ready to go if that's the call. First thing is right with God. Everything else is secondary.

Marcella, you are most welcome. I am trying to drink the Mississippi here, and there is SOOOOOOO much I want to share, and I am looking forward to doing just that over the coming months!
Today’s class was on insects. We learned so much and there were quite a number of “gee whizz!” moments.
However, I have not finished my labors with soil, and wish to gamely plow through some of the other goodies as well.
I’m thrilled that this info is available and that it is helpful. More (much more) later!
You have the prayers, Johnny.
Make sure you get names and phone numbers from folks.
Thanks for all the prayers. I can use them. Especially tomorrow.
/johnny
Absolutely collecting those names! LOL!
Also learned about some COOL links to some of the online free info publications on the OSU web site that I plan to share tomorrow about bugs! One of them has really cool pictures, and while you may not feel like posting a great deal, perhaps you might feel like looking at the pretty pictures!
I can understand some trepidation about undergoing chemo. It is not for the faint of heart. I have been with some people who have undergone it, and while it varies in every case, it certainly can be challenging. Positive attitude is everything, and I know that your humor and orneriness will see you through! :-D
You are definitely on The List, as I know you are for many here.
(((JRF)))
Been praying every night for you. Will be doing more for tomorrow and the weekend. Best wishes.
Thank you for pinging. That darned geography thing is keeping us from all putting our hands on your shoulders while asking that the Holy Spirit put His healing, merciful and awesome wings around you. Prayers up!
