Explanation: The view was worth the trip. Battling high winds, cold temperatures, and low oxygen, the trek to near the top of the volcano Santa Maria in Guatemala -- while carrying sensitive camera equipment -- was lonely and difficult. Once set up, though, the camera captured this breathtaking vista during the early morning hours of February 28. Visible on the ground are six volcanoes of the Central America Volcanic Arc, including Fuego, the Volcano of Fire, which is seen erupting in the distance. Visible in the sky, in separate exposures taken a few minutes later, are many stars much further in the distance, as well as the central band of our Milky Way Galaxy situated horizontally overhead.

The volcano looks kinda puny...
Wow, you can almost see the Face of God in that heavenly cluster.
On my bucket list is a trip to the Atacama Desert, the driest place on earth. While there I will, among other things, tour the European large telescope (can’t recall its official name) and look skyward at night...with a camera in my hand.
I saw Him in the city, and on the mountains of the Moon...
Just made it my desktop background. Beautiful. God’s artistry.
PSALM 19:1
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands
Mind-blowing, isn’t it? What Abraham saw in Genesis 15:5........but we don’t see today - EXCEPT...
I did see this with my own eyes in the rural country away from Porto Alegre, Brazil in the early ‘90’s........we were at a rural retreat center far from the city, and there was a water tower with a railed platform at the top about 50’ above the ground that you see in all directions for a hundred miles.
The view was not unlike this picture - less the volcano of course. I had never seen such a sky with my own eyes, devoid of both air pollution and light pollution.
A staggering, unforgettable experience.......
As our pollution (both light and air)[light pollution might symbolize how our own intellect and knowledge can hide God from us] here has fogged and hidden this from our physical eyes, so the spiritual pollution of the sin in our culture has equally hidden God from most in our country....
They could photoshop the enterprise in it.
The shot does provide a sense of perspective for all the immense power & violence that comes with volcanic activity here on Earth, it’s minuscule compared to the processes involved in the Cosmos.
Yet, we bipedal creatures of less than 2 meters in height are held responsible by some “scientists” for destroying Creation
It looks like Asgard with Odin using some of his powers.
