The First Lady of these United States is now urging Americans to stop drinking sweet tea.
Yes – friends – you heard correctly. Mrs. Obama has declared war on the House Wine of the South. It’s all part of her anti-obesity campaign — called Let’s Move.
The website Free Beacon was the first to report on her latest culinary atrocities – urging us to wash down our lettuce and bean sprouts with unsweetened tea.
The First Lady also told Americans to stay away from all-you-can-eat buffets — which I’m sure is great news for all those folks employed by all-you-can-eat buffets.

Actually, I’m Canadian, eh! I do have some ancestors who lived in ‘ole Virginny’, but they chose the wrong ‘George’ during that little ‘dust up’ that was resolved by the Treaty of Paris in 1783. Because they supported George William Frederick, commonly known as King George III rather than that Washington fellow, they lost all their possessions. This included a large farm and livestock. They were forced to leave for Quebec, later homesteading (once again) near Prescott, Ontario. This time, they SOLD it, rather than having it taken away, as a war prize.

Yep-especially raw honey. I use it on minor cuts and even as a moisturizer on my face, amazing stuff.
I miss my stops at the Kent Kwik in Kermit, TX to refill my 44 oz styrofoam cups with unsweetened iced tea. That was 2012 and the refills were 75 cents.

I drink only unsweetened tea. Served ice cold in my canteen cup when I was in the field at Fort Benning GA after a forced march, it was like the purest well water. Our mess sergeant made sure there was plenty of both kinds.
Unsweetened tea didn’t make one thirsty afterwards. Michelle O. has long since gone from First Lady to First Busybody.
Unfortunately it is working. Fast food restaurants have lost revenue due to Michelle’s hatred towards fast food like McDonald’s and others. Michelle has gotten the schools to serve crap. People are planting gardens more often then before she started this crap. Americans are followers for sure. We have changed our entire eating habits because of the first lady......watch six months from now how the sweetened tea market gets slammed hard.
They pay for both....the do not get a food allowance except for official dinners and definitely they pay the education costs themselves. Why do you think Carter sent Amy to public school....he could not afford the tuition of a private school in DC.

He was a landowner and had a multimillion dollar farming business. He was worth millions back in the seventies, when a million meant something.

I love my unsweetened tea, she’s now ruined that for me.
I’m a Southerner both by birth and preference, and I personally loathe sweet tea. Unsweetened iced tea, on the other hand, is the greatest thirst quencher known to man.
Still, Michelle has never been right about anything in her life, based on the available evidence, and this comment is no exception. Why can’t she just sit down and shut up? I’m tired of the Obamas.
