I guess even mad cow runs its course. Otherwise, MSLGBTC would get better ratings with a test pattern.
That would be awesome, the problem is that so few people have ever watched MSNBC, that most people wouldn't understand the satire.
Any given interstate billboard is seen by over 100,000 people daily, and I guarantee they cost a lot less than an hour of Madcow. And what do the people that watch MSNBC purchase? They EBT folks don't watch, because they just want the dole, they don't have time for ideology. Only the true believers are watching Madcow, and I'm pegging them as sing 30 year olds, with $150k in student debt, living with parents, and delivering pizzas part time.
MSNBC is a small campaign contribution by Comcast/NBCUniversal. MSNBC doesn’t need to support itself.
The only time I have tuned into this lesbian was several years ago. I cannot remember what was happening on her show, but it may have had something to do with one of the elections. She had prepped and prepped and was obviously spooled up on 50 espressos in anticipation of a very long winded night on televised show. Anyway, whatever was supposed to take all night got was over in a matter of minutes and you could see the desperation and shock and disgust and premenstrual prem-tantrum begin to come together as she sprawled forward in disbelief.
It was a beautiful thing.
Buh bye
If you’re not watching you are a homophobe.
Pray America is waking
You must be correct.
I found ad rates of ~$5 per 1,000 people for TV.
That makes an audience of 100,000 people worth $500. Cable averages 16 minutes of advertising per hour, so MSNBC is grossing ~$8000 per night on Madcow, $40k per week, $2,080,000 per year.
Maybe that seems like a lot, but what what is their overhead? Madcow’s salary alone is $6 million per year. My guess is that they are losing over $8 million per year on that show.
Interesting figures.
But, one has to add in the fees MSNBC gets from cable/satellite, too.
[Several years ago I saw a list of the amounts providers pay monthly for each cable/satellite channel. The more popular channels had much higher rates than the lower-viewership channels. They ranged from $6.00 for ESPN down to $0.72 for TBS to $0.06 for Hallmark. Median cost per channel is $0.14. After a quick google search, I could not find a current list of most channels.]
MSNBC more than double the viewers of CNN ?
That network could go under with those numbers.
Can’t even conceive of anything remotely interesting she would have to say...
“...its like a squeaky mouse going againsta mountain lion....”
Actually, it’s more like what it really is - just another overly emotional lefty making it up as they go along, going up against facts, figures, and rational logical argument.
I don’t watch MSNBC, so clue me in: do shows like Maddow on that network ever have genuine opposition viewpoints, or do they just bring in the guy with the bowtie, hair product and weak defense?
The only reason I know who Rachel Maddow is, is that SOL mentioned her a few times.
What does she look like ?
LOL
you get 100,000 people by accident.
“She” plays for the other team.
Although, I’ll say, considering “she’s” a flaming leftist poof, I WB.
” , I WB.”
You Warner Brothers?
Me MGM.
Or the cat is playing with the remote control when nobody is in the room :)
Actually that kind of thinking goes along perfectly what the Godless liberal college agenda of today.
She has nothing interesting to say - but she says her nothing with great flair and attitude. Liberals like that...
Typically they have no-one disagreeing but I noticed that the last few months they been challenging Republicans to come on the program and debate, so only recently has Melissa Harris Perry started having some Republicans on, always outnumbered and weak.
I rarely see anyone on Maddow disagreeing.
I am guessing that MSNBC management thinks that just having everyone agree with hosts on their shows is contributing to their low ratings, so this new push to get Republicans on.
Note that Megyn Kelly always invites Dems on, even those working for Obama, to debate her.
