I found three Freepers (in the last 24 hours that prior to a few days ago (10 days at the most) have not been active in a very long time...... At least a year and a half or more. The other two Freepers have no posts for 7 years and 3 years.
Now prior to that time gap all would have maybe 1 or 2 posts a years several years ago. Yet in the last few days they are posting a lot. I find that very odd?
I think these accounts have been hijacked by the opposition?
For those that are wondering what is an Internet Troll? Trolls, post a deliberately provocative message or messages to a newsgroup or message boards/threads with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument. This is done primarily by opposition groups.
I'm sure someone could figure out WHO is doing this. We just need to do a trace route on the account to see where it's coming from.

Well, there were a lot of question marks at first there too, but I think they finally determined the counter guy was a noob alien troublemaker from Uranus and took him out behind the diner and shot him.

Perhaps these people are delighted that Free Republic finally allows criticism of the G.O.P. Back in the day you were called a communist for telling the truth about RINOs. It turned me off of FR for many years. They used to compare GWB to Reagan as a genuine conservative. Very discouraging.

Now that’s a bit of a stretch.
Many if not most of us here didn’t want GWB in 2000 during the primary. He was establishment Republican all the way and we knew it.
But once he was the nominee most of us united around him, especially in light of Al Gore being the other guy.

You haven’t been around long enough to know this, but they’re not hijacked. They’re deliberate. They’re sleepers. I’ve seen plenty of them. Name I don’t recognise, look up the signup date, it’s several years old, and they have one post.

I got this recently from another freeper:
“Are you serious? I doubt it. In fact I think you are most non-serious, and are probably a paid disruptor from some progressive boiler room.”
After 17 years he caught me! The pay is not great but the temp in the boiler room is great in winter.
