In a cramped city like Tokyo, where owning a pet is a luxury and most apartments have strict no-pets policies, its hard for cat lovers to spend quality time with their favorite animals. In response, cat cafés have cropped up all over the city, where people get to sip delicious beverages while petting a purring kitty. But even that doesnt come close to having a cat in your own home, because the time spent with the furry creatures is quite limited.
Thats why a Japanese company has come up with a great idea to get its employees to interact with pets more often a cat-populated workplace! The offices of Ferray Corporation, an internet solutions business, is filled with nine lovable rescued cats that are allowed to roam freely all through the day. The cats are so adorable that employees of Ferray are reporting considerably lowered stress levels.

Then there's the "Toxoplasma Gondii Brain Parasite Infection From Cats Linked To Schizophrenia" issue too.
Would really suck if you're both allergic to, and germaphobic about, cats.
Nope. Next thing you know, they form a union and start demanding furry mouse toys and catnip breaks.
“We’ve had to stop giving presentations at the office.”
“Why’s that?”
“Bob was giving a presentation and he was using a laser pointer to highlight a point, and nine cats hit the whiteboard and scared off the customer.”
LOL!
Tell me about it, I am a geek and into their culture a bit but even I see weird stuff from them a lot, and more so when I was in Japan for a couple of months, working on a project.
Productivity enhancers are an interesting thing. There was a guy did a study in (I think) the 1930s. He started by telling the team he was increasing their lighting to help with productivity. He upped the number of bulbs and lights and sure enough productivity went up.
Then he said it looks like we hit some plateau so I’m going to reduce the lighting till we get it right for you. He reduced it beyond where it was originally and guess what - productivity went up.
His conclusion was it was more about paying attention to the employees and letting them know you are trying to do something for them to help them do better then it was about the actual conditions in which they were working.
I wrote an entire book with my cat, Herb, sitting behind me on a table with a view of the computer watching everything on the screen. In the middle of the book, I rearranged the furniture and the cat went into a deep depression.
A neighbor who claimed to be a “cat psychic” came over and talked to Herb. Herb told her that the problem was he couldn’t see the screen any more and felt like he’d lost his job. Unemployment sux, even for cats.
So I moved the furniture back where it was, Herb rallied, went back to his table and helped me finish the book.
True story.
NO LOL!
I wonder if anyword if FR Viking kitty be showing up in Japan to open up office
I believe it. My compliments to Herb for the good work.
