I didn't find any reference to it through searching FR.
It is a good reminder that anyone can make a mistake at any time.
Be safe.
Here is the followup video made one year to the day later: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEuBXWujeYQ
For the record, I'm not the guy in the videos.
Don’t try this at home, only professionals should attempt quick drawing while putting their finger on the trigger before the gun is facing the target.
Mistakes happen and what happens when ya put your finger in the housing when not ready to fire at the target.
I have a ‘system’ that has served me well for many years. Never play with guns. quadruple check everything. Focus all your attention like you were jugling skil-saws. Never play with guns. Check it again. People who goof off with guns, pose with them, and act the fool end up in accidents that never should have happened.
Slo-mo shows his finger got to the trigger.
If anybody laughed, slap your face, now. Ouch!
Had a negligent discharge once.
Had to marry her.
Another expert,... Too close to the target, finger in trigger guard before going forward,...
A couple goes out to dinner to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. On the way home, the wife notices a tear in his eye and asks if he’s getting sentimental because they’re celebrating 50 wonderful years together. He replies, “No, I was thinking about the time before we got married. Your father threatened me with a shotgun and said he’d have me thrown in jail for 50 years if I didn’t marry you. Tomorrow I would’ve been a free man!”
A must-see, a tour de farce, worth your time to see the musical version:
Firearm performed flawlessly, expert needs expert attention and care.
