Its moving right along. Thank God!
Wish there were more parents like this. His wife/ex-wife sounds like an evil witch.
They ought to start a pool on the birth mother, at what level of donations the heartless soul shows back up demanding access to the money.
Bet leftists wish the mother had aborted this beautiful baby. God Bless this beautiful blessed baby and his father
Og my I hadnt considered that but in this :day and age its very likely that she will
You might want to ask the mods to add a K to that $350
This is a tremendous story, It shows both old fashioned good (and old fashioned evil) but also the way the internet and social media are enabling people to help one another.
I wish this baby and his dad all the best. Make sure that divorce is final and high tail it back to New Zealand ASAP.
Oh, the comments about this story on Salon.com make me feel soiled as a human being
This is in Armenia. She won’t get a dime. And he’s returning to his home country.
Nice, and sad.
I have to wonder - what is the deal here? Shack-up? Hook-up? Deliberate baby-making with “surrogate” dam? Or actual marriage partners?
he’ll be FAR Out of her reach then regardless of her possible plans.
thanks
Good catch. The OP can’t so I am pinging the mod...
Commie pigs never see children as a blessing, they always view babies as a curse..didnt Melissa Harris Perry shower praise on Planned Parenthood and said that abortion is like “Removing a cancer” I wonder if those same people who love abortion so much would be willing to get themselves aborted for the cause..I think Reagan said it best(Please correct me if the quote is wrong) but didnt he once say “Why is it that the ones who love abortion have themselves never been aborted”
By this time next week,, the sum for this Money Bomb will be over One Million.
Look then for the Armenian Mommy-Not-So-Dearest to have “an epiphany, a change of heart” and call the baby’s father up and say, “You know something, I was like, mega-wrong. So, am I back in? Will you be sending me a plane ticket next week?”
If you are referring to this mother who gave birth in your comment as a “commie pig” you are sorely wrong.
It’s not about “commies” it’s about a woman who little or no education and is going by the diktats of the society she lives in. Yes it is heartless cold and cruel of her to reject this Down’s child but that’s the mentality she was brought up with.
In her culture it is a “sin of conception” (or if you can find a better translation in Armenian I applaud you) and this reflects on her family lineage and heritage and in Armenia as most other cultures nearby this child is viewed as an “error” and shame to the family name.
I don’t doubt for a minute the father never knew of her attitude towards children who are born disabled. It’s a part of an unspoken cultural difference that is rarely discussed and I’m sure it was the last thing these two parents were prepared for.
We also don’t know what type of pre-natal care this woman received esp. sonograms. Perhaps they never happened or maybe they did - and IF they did this presents a whole host of other ethical questions the mother would have faced. So we really don’t know much about the mother’s pre-natal background.
We also don’t know how or why their marriage transpired.
There is simply no published background information on the history of their relationship.
I’m getting the feeling she was looking for a way out of Armenia by marrying him to get to New Zealand eventually.
The father of this beautiful child should be applauded and encouraged and I encourage anyone here to donate to help this father raise his newborn son.
I was actually referring to the dingbats on Salon.com because someone had mentioned here that they were commenting on the story..they are all commie pigs
well in any case I hope what I have written to you in response reaches other people here on FR and educates anyone who reads my post to you.
i, too, read many other sites that are in direct opposition to my belief system (political, religious, etc) to get a handle on what is going on in the world. I did not see salon.com ‘s article referring to this situation. You can always expect the worst from such sites
attribution to your comment taken from salon.com would have been helpful . if you weren’t able to get to it & copy & paste you could have also stated you were paraphrasing, too, so even when paraphrasing you should still print your source of information.
