I just re-joined FR and I would like to post to my local NC state board but I am not able to. How do I get the ability to do that?
It’s 40 Deg F in Moscow right now can u believe it?
W00t!
Good on ya!
Back from WW. I lost 1.2 in the last two weeks, of which the first week was the final week before Lent ;-).
KEWT KITTEH!
It is not good for me to spend time at Busdaddy’s. I eat almost constantly while I’m there. I eat the right things, but even that adds up to unwanted pounds. I just realized this yesterday. It may be why I feel I am sabotaging myself.
I will check my account in a bit to make sure I have enough to go get a couple of 2” X 4”’s from Lowe’s, as I want to raise up the La-Z-Boy so it isn’t so hard for me to get out of. It was made for a shorter person. They will cut the pieces from leftover boards that people didn’t need, so I don’t have to buy an entire board.
I don’t think it will cost me more than a few cents, (I hope) but I need to also get some yogurt. It’s still a week before payday.
Last week’s meeting (which we missed because the gym was closed) was about “Danger Zones.” You can probably find the articles on the website and get some ideas about how to be more in control.
We have about 2” of snow on the grass, but the roads aren’t frozen. Bill expected to be able to get to school, although he’ll have to be extremely careful coming home at 9:00. Maybe the Business Law teacher will call off the evening class.
The forecast for tomorrow has been changed to rain, with a high in the 40s.
I’m leaving tomorrow afternoon for Florida and will be back late Thursday night. Dad’s National Cemetery ... er, installation, I guess ... is Thursday afternoon.
I thought you were talking about using the 2x4s to avoid eating so much. I was going to tell you that, for me, that wouldn’t be enough.
Take smaller bites and chew more thoroughly.
I always take small bites when chewing through the 2x4s (as well as anything else trying to keep me from the food).
My BP has been coming down gradually but steadily since this last addition of herbal meds. It has come down 40 points in the last four days.
I’m sure that the pain meds are part of the equation, but I don’t know how much. And if it’s warmer tomorrow morning, I will try to walk for 30 minutes. I need to get something to listen to, though...I hate walking without music.
If I understood how MP3 players and iPods worked I would try to get one of them, just for my walks. I don’t know if my phone does music or not, and don’t know how to check it.
The snow on the mountains around us looks really pretty, but there is a cold wind out of the north that is stirring up the pollen, so I’ve had a mask on while out. And I just remembered, I need to have a breathing treatment.
MP3 players are easy to use but you need to plug them into your PC to “rip” songs down to them. If you simply purchased a song through Amazon or the Google or Apple stores you can simply copy the song to the MP3 player, like copying a file to an external drive.
What kind of phone do you have?
I have an Android phone. I’ve always had Android phones for some reason...price, probably!
Then, yes, you can get an app that will play MP3 files. You can copy files to the Android phone the same way you would to an MP3 player. I think you have to put them in the Music folder, but that’s easy.
If you want to spend money (and I know how you love to spend money) I think Google sells an unlimited streaming music service. I have no idea how much it costs. And, of course, if you have an unlimited data plan you can get the i heart radio app or something similar to stream music directly from the Internet.
It looks like T-Mobil has free music streaming and downloads with Smmple Choice plans (which are not free, but, well, you know).
It's 19°F in Moscow, Michigan right now...
It's 18.9°F in Hell. I guess they need to be more precise. You know, so it won't freeze over...
(Temperatures current as on 1415EST)
1. There are free FM radio apps for Android phones search “top ten free fm radio apps Android”
2. If you have a computer you can copy your CD music to it as mp3 file then transfer your playlists to the phone, or copy from friends CDs
Look for a media folder, open it, you should see a music player and video player, or search for music, there’s usually a sample mp3.
I doubt that any android has been sold without music/media player apps pre-installed. It’s the baited hook to get you to spend money.
Also check the Freeper Tunes for troops posted on Fridays. Lots of tunes get posted for downloading to your phone. FReepers keep them up for the weekend.
Do a search for posts by Drumbo to get a feel for the types of music. Drumbo generally has a guiding theme or artist. Good stuff, good man.
Thanks, you two!
I will try to follow the destructions and get some music on my Android...
