Am I the only person watching this "football game" (which is actually a good football game) annoyed by these annoying lectures, masquerading as commercials, about how powerful, capable, independent and valuable women are, so we barbaric men shouldn't devalue them, disrespect them (not actually a word) or hit them? Is this really what we need to be told while we're trying to just watch a ball game? I know the rest of the culture insists on this, but aren't men the primary clientele of the NFL? Why does the NFL have to subject us to this nonsense?
He drives me crazy. I hate having to listen to him the entire game.
Women should “submit” to their husbands?! Are you being sarcastic, or would you like to tell us what mosque you attend?
Ephesians 5:22 “Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.”
The Book of Ephesians, chapter 5, goes on:
“23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.”
It bothers me that a political interest group would have $4.5 mil to spend on an ad like this....seems that companies selling actual products should be there.
The other thing is that an unintended consequence is that girls will be pushed into athletics.
And then NBC dip s%^$ girl or what ever you want to call her, did the campaign interview with the guy who lives on the tax payers dime at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
They toasted each other with home made beer, said the honey came from Michelle's garden, and I LMAO, she doesn't know the first thing about gardening, it is all photo ops for them...disgusting to pat himself on the back, but hey they said 100 million people will be tuned in to the Super Bowl, so his handlers made sure he got his mug shot on at prime time...
He is the most despicable POTUS this Nation has ever had..Just hope the country can survive the next year and 11 months...
glad the Patriots won, As I think the Seahawks are Animals, the defense is composed of all Black men, not one white person on the defense, if that was a total White Defense, you would hear drums of RACIST from the Black Race in America. It has gotten to be such a slug feast I don't even enjoy the games any more...
OK...got that all out of my system, so now I wish y'all a Blessed week, stay safe, keep warm and ‘hug’ your kids...
nope not just you- also the halftime song was sung by a woman about ‘I kissed a girl just to try it,” and then “I kissed a girl and I liked it’- So now we have our national sport shoving gay themes in our faces? I wonder what they would do IF a gospel group got up there during half time and sang about the sin of homosexuality?
But then, they show that even in aboriginal cultures when females throw as often as men (hunting, I suppose), the best throwing velocity that females can manage is 78% of (what I assume is the statistical mean) throwing velocity of males.
They give all the evidence, and still, in the end, fail to make the connection and just make up whatever they want... and at the end of the article I coulda swore I recall seeing credit for the article was with the Washington Post and it all made sense.
Agenda driven talking points backed up with liberal Democrat lies.
This has been going on for years.
You understand the words singers sing???!!
I haven’t understood them for years.
Since ‘How Much Is That Doggie In The Window,’ for example.
Also, much movie dialogue escapes my recognition.
Annoying the ‘editor’ allows the movie to be passed for distribution.
Katy Perry kissed a girl at the half-time show - - ???!
“””
And let’s face it - Katy Perry singing at half-time is not an act targeted at the male audience. “””
Really? I thought she was pretty good. I didn’t like the screaming banshees hopping around but I really liked her finale.
I missed it too, thankfully. Hadn’t heard beforehand either that O’Bambam would be there.
Did he toss a football??? Anything like that baseball - ??
> Here’s a commercial that’s the antithesis of all you’re talking about. They don’t make ‘em like this anymore.
Sad but true. Who wouldn’t want to watch that commercial??? Lol.
I think they know the “pay disparity” is caused by women dedicating less time/interest to better-paying jobs, and they can’t reduce engineers’ salaries to those of hairdressers and nail techs. Women are 60% of college classes, but too many are still shying away from fields that require long hours and hard work; they are trying to fight against nature reversing that (as too many women still try to factor a family into their planning, whether one will materialize or not).
“Its all part of the NFLs campaign against spousal abuse. The father commercial goes right along with them.”
They couldn’t mix some “Stop making babies when you’re unemployed and fifteen” ads (for both men and women) and insert them in there somewhere? I don’t need the entertainment industry (where people take their clothes off for money) to lecture me about how to be a father...
It was ridiculous. Twitter was alive with criticism of this crap.
Really? I always thought Zero throws like a girl. And it’s not a compliment.
The Mercedes one was just plain dumb.
The vast majority of purchasing decisions in this country are made by women 18-49.
Regardless of whether they earned the money or not.
It’s the First Commandment of Advertising. It caused CBS to cancel Green Acres and The Beverly Hillbillies 45 years ago, and it still holds true today.
