Kevin Costner Uses N Word. I Defend Him! But Not For The Reasons You'd Think...

So on CNN, Kevin Costner admitted to having used the N word. Many times. So what? Does that make him a racist? I talked about it on this week's radio show, including MY experience with having used and heard the word.
Watch for yourself and decide on whether the context matters in this instance.

Streep was good in “Holocaust” playing alongside James Woods, I had figured they were dating each other, but in fact at the time she was dating the late John Cazale.

I read an old dictionary many years ago and I believe the main definition of niger was worker.
Now I see that worker is not even mentioned, so what something means today may be changed from what it was years ago or hundreds or thousands of years ago.
That is why I take no stock in what some religious teacher say about the meaning of words when they are trying to change the scripture.

Because, you wouldn’t want a Conservative who makes a living providing you with free content to, you know.... make a living.

Yea, both great films. Val Kilmer was great as Doc Holiday.

Oooh. Funny, I actually thought that was against the rules. That’s why I thought embedding was disabled.

Check out Costner and Eastwood in, "A Perfect World."
Intense movie, well-acted.

    "A Perfect World."
 Agreed.
 Probably my favorite Costner role.
He plays a bad guy with some rather "noble" characteristics.
Like when the black farmer takes him in, and confronts the man when he sees him abusing his son.

Yeah I enjoyed those as well.
I also liked him in the Postman.

Yeah it is one of the true conundrums here on Free Republic. A site that promotes the American way and free enterprise but demands you give them your copyrighted material in full for free BUT will not post the full copyrighted material of leftist sources like CNN and the New York Times etc. I still can't get my head around it.
