Skipping to the end:

Consider, if you will, what happens to a person who suggests that Sarah Palin is anything other than saintly. Right off the bat, they are accused of disliking America or Alaska or conservatives or mothers or the working class or even women in general and then they are informed that their hatred is showing. Next, their motives are questioned and their supposedly secret agenda is exposed for the world to see, for no right-thinking person could dislike Palin on the merits, natch. I hope you enjoy your elite cocktail parties, the apologists will say, and then they will huffily tell you that they hope signaling that you are one of them was worth it. And finally as is the case when one expresses disapproval of other cult figures, such as President Obama, Ron Paul, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, and Paul Krugman it is presumed that all animadversion must be motivated by envy or by snobbery or by secret admiration, and that it can therefore be safely ignored. What have you done, they will ask, that compares to my paragon of virtue? All told, its really quite pathetic.

Having been mercilessly and unjustly pilloried by the media throughout the 2008 campaign, Sarah Palin had a clear choice in its aftermath: She could sober up and prove the buggers wrong, or she could collapse into ignominious pasquinade. Sadly, she chose the latter. The rest of us should choose to move on.

Indeed. It has become a pasquinade of its former self!
A mere lampoon of its former glory!
A pusillanimous pustule on the backside of conservative journalism!
A harlequin in motley deserving only of mockery!
Alas, Tis but a phantasm of his former self, howling in the shadows of neoconland!
Do we know ANYONE who actually subscribes to it anymore?
(BTW, you left out “bed-wetting”)
Thanks, my FRiend.
I see.....I am now officially Concerned about your Time here on F.R.
Infrequent Flame Poster
I’ve been a little bit busy; in the last couple years, my wife and I had two kids, and I moved to Michigan and started a company. I’m now starting to have more time for FR again. I’m sure you’ll read whatever you want into it though.
Let freedom ring! Let Sarah's remarkable voice resonate clearly and passionately throughout the land as a clarion call for liberty!
You’re so right!
On one thread alone, you've displayed tendencies towards two of his three categories.
Congrats. You must be proud.
God bless you and Sarah Palin and ALL OF HER MILLIONS OF SUPORTERS!
I didn’t think Romney, or McCain, or Dole were electable either. But, I voted for them all. Reagan too. Does that tell you anything?
Little Defensive Eh?
Don't Worry I am sure no one else has had kids in 6 years.
RIGHT ON!
so our thinking is pretty close on things.
I’m just saying that FR hasn’t been on my radar lately, and even when I was posting more, it was never a high priority. If you want to spam everyone calling me a troll, that’s your prerogative.
Quite honestly, I don't think she's going to run, but we'll see.
No kidding. She has a speaking schedule that the majority of DC would envy and give their eye teeth for.
Thanks so much for posting that link. I see Sarah will be speaking at NAPE, in Houston, next month. I’m going to check into that ;)
No, Palin also has a track record of fighting corruption. Including corruption in her very own Party. Not many politicians can make such a claim. 95% of them are sleazoids, beholden to various interests, from corporate donors to unions to the media to their own Party machines. It’s wildly rare to encounter any political leader who steadfastedly refuses to be thusly compromised or corrupted.
It’s one of the reasons Palin remains head and shoulders above the rest. Scumbag northeastern elitists and establishment-types from “National Review” just desire another Wall Street toady like Romney, Jeb or Christie. America might very well not accept a Palin as a leader, but that’s just a testament to what a corrupt, degenerate sewer this nation has become.
The conservatives could always mention Michelle Obama’s $300,000 a year cushy job at a hospital in Chicago some years ago where her primary function seemed to be turning away black people.
Two can play the “your wife is no good” card.
Neither would be correct.
NR was still a great publication under John O'Sullivan. Rich Lowry is the problem, plain and simple. There is no better example than the contretemps between Mark Steyn and that pathetic little twerp Jason Steorts over a year ago. Despite the spectacle of his most popular writer and managing editor going at it hammer and tongs in a very public way, it was the NR publisher who finally jumped in and said, "I think Steyn is a great writer, and his column [about homosexual intolerance] was wonderful."
Where was Rich Lowry during all that? Nowhere to be seen. Which makes one suspect that he was behind the attempt to force Steyn into a humiliating Auto de fe all along.
And it's Your prerogative to Troll and Spam F.R. with Articles Spouting The Lefts talking points and doing their Job.
And Call Sarah The "Republicans Obama" After 6 years of nothing, come out swinging with PDS
I don't call you a Troll, Your Own Words Betray You.
