New Jersey governor Chris Christie has landed himself in hot water after he was caught enthusiastically celebrating a victory for the Dallas Cowboys. Christie was filmed hugging Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones and his son Stephen in a garish orange sweater after Dallas defeated Detroit Lions in a match yesterday. A native of New Jersey, Christie follows the Cowboys despite his team having a long-standing rivalry with the New York Giants in his own state as they play in the same NFL conference every year. He also cheers for the Cowboys ahead of his state's other NFL team, the New York Jets, and the Philadelphia Eagles, who are popular in south Jersey and also divisional rivals of the Cowboys.

Odds are they will loose. A close victory in the playoffs is a death nell the next week

That fat little turd cuddling up to whoremaster Jerry Jones was nauseating. One would think his presidential hopes are zip, zero, nada.

That was my though when I saw the “full body hug”...he was hugging a potential sack of dough...

I have been a Dallas Cowboy fan ever since Roger Staubach days. I live in NC and have never even been to Texas much less to a Cowboy game. I do root for the Carolina Panthers, but not if they are playing Dallas! I am not "invested" in them as I am the Cowboys, however. I am not ecstatic when they win or devastated when they lose

Crispy can cheer for any team he likes, and associate with any wealthy family he chooses, but in my mind, this should somewhat torpedo his chances of getting the R nomination. I mean, have some decorum for goodness sakes...

Am I the only Freeper who watches Dallas Cowboy games just for the pleasure of watching Jerry Jones cry when they lose?

I work in Dallas. I love the Cowboys, when they lose.

They didn’t hold the parade for the Giants in Newark, did they?

When the Giants won their first Superbowl (’87 I think), then mayor, Ed Koch, would not allow a ticker tape parade in NYC’s “Canyon of Heroes”. His rationale was that the City’s boundaries were quite clear, and if the Giants didn’t want to play in NYC, they shouldn’t expect the privileges.

Not sure how succeeding mayors treated the matter.

Looks like he is losing some weight.

He had lap band stomach surgery almost two years ago. He has lost weight, but not as drastic an amount as I would have expected.

He’s also a huge NY Ranger fan

Now do you mean he likes the Rangers a whole lot, or he is a fan that happens to be huge ? ;)

One of the admirable things about Rudy, when he was Mayor, he never pulled that “Yankees are my favorite AL team, and the Mets are my favorite NL team” kind of BS that many NY pols pull. He was straight up in his allegiance to the Yankees (and I am a Met fan).

What I found funny was that no one seemed to really be including Christie in that celebration hug.

I see you've chosen pictures where Her High-ness is wearing her girlish flirt smile. She's so cagy that nobody will notice the different hats! /s

“Let the man cheer for the football team he so desires.”

That’s how I feel. The fact that this is even being discussed astonishes me.

It’s a sport,for heaven’s sake.

Rodham would put on a swastika ball cap if it would give her the appropriate number of votes with the least amount of political fallout.
