CNN) -- Police on Friday arrested Dustin Diamond, better known as "Screech" in the early 1990s sitcom "Saved by the Bell," in a stabbing incident at a bar in Port Washington, Wisconsin.

Screech goes nuts, stabs a guy!
Seriously, looks like he and his girlfriend were being roughed up by some thugs, which led to him stabbing one of them with his illegal stiletto.
I think he has a valid self defense claim, but the cops freaked over the knife...

There is so much knife violence. We really need knife control. Knives should be only allowed or people licensed to cook, and also not be allowed out of a kitchen. There needs to be knife safety locks, to prevent accidental stabbings.

You think you’re being funny, but that knife control thing is exactly what they are doing in the UK right now.

All I had to read was “’Saved by the Bell’ actor arrested”, and I knew the first minute it had to be the Screech.

Is it this guy? I never watched that show so I have no idea who this is.

I don't think I'd want to be stabbed by a guy who looks like this!

‘...who said they found a “stiletto folding knife with a 3.75-inch blade, which uses a thumb stud and assisted opening mechanism.”’
Anyone want to guess the specific knife it might be?

The dreaded switchblade. Never did understand why the fixation on how the knife opens.
What’s the difference in time, 1/10th second?

Here's what "Screech" (Dustin Diamond) looks like today:

Cold Steel ‘Tilite’ maybe?
People get the stiletto mixed up. A stiletto is a narrow, double-edged blade, long enough to reach any internal organ. Most closely related to 6” or longer daggers.
Just a guess.

It was probably one similar to this discontinued Amazon item:

Just like other folding "tactical knives" you can buy for around $10 at Walmart or Harbor Freight just with a "stiletto" style blade. They are not "switch blades"; there is no spring that helps open the blade. You push the blade open with your thumb using the "stud". If you practice, you can flick it open pretty much instantly giving the impression that it had a spring assist. If he would have remembered to throw it out the window after accidentally nicking someone with it... we wouldn't be reading about it here.
