Thought someone out there might enjoy. Blind Faith was a group that included Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood. I think all the greatest bands came from that era.

I recall seeing this posted to FR before at some point in the past couple years (I guess)... but things being what they are with "surfing" YouTube videos in stream of conciousness fashion at 2:30am... it brought me back to it, and it is just too good not to share once again

Blind Faith was first so-called Supergroup
They were good ......their original album cover would be called child porn today by the strange.... the way Houses is
I think Mr Baker drove off Eric and Steve....and Grech
Tks for remembering we ancient
Its was a good time to grow up....a true youth culture it was.....if only by sheer population bubble
And the music.....amazing really
Glad so many young folks mine it for their own pleasure

There is no great music after 1990. Nothing that will withstand the passage of time.
Back then, lyrics and song were poetry put to music.
How can you compare things like “mutha-mutha-bitch-ho” repeated for 3:30, to “Stairway to Heaven”?

I sometimes listen to classical on my commute home from work. I find it calms me down if (when) traffic is bad (as it always is in Houston). Then I am in a decent mood when I get home to the wife.

It takes me back to Alan VanTassel’s basement where along with the likes of Led Zeppelin and Frank Zappa and The Mothers, I first heard this record. Long ago and far away, yet, just like yesterday.

Yes, thank you. I realized I had forgotten to include The Manhattan Transfer a minute or two after I posted the list, which was not meant to be absolutely inclusive.
Also omitted:

Most of James Taylor.
Much of Joni Mitchell.
Dave Grusin.
Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe.
George and Ira Gershwin.
Harold Arlen.
Larry Carlton.
Peter White (guitar).
Steven Wilson.
Heitor Pereira.
Earth, Wind and Fire.
The BeeGees (don't laugh).
Some of Blood Sweat & Tears.
Michael Martin Murphey.
Harry Nilsson.
Doc Severinsen's Closet.
Al Hirt.
Itzhak Perlman.
Bill Watrous.
Henry Mancini.
David Sanborn.
Pat Metheny.
Some of Lyle Mays.
