this precise thing is always happening somewhere in the satellite universe when carriage rights are up for renegotiation.
it has zero to do with Fox News terrifying anyone. the guys at this cable website are just pussies.
Uh, the carrier, Dish, has been playing hardball with everyone.
Our local NBC & CBS stations said the same thing until just the other day.
I’d say plenty of other satellite channels have had to hassle with these issues such as the Weather Channel to just say Fox is doing it as if it is unique. I think they were even once going to pull a regular network channel, either Dish, Direct, Comcast or whomever.
who pays for TV anymore?
In March 2014, Dish stopped carrying MSNBC. In mid-November the viewer said, ‘Hey!’.
Cable and local/network play the same game occasionally.
Cable accuses local/network of wanting too much money.
Local/network accuses Cable of not wanting to pay for the ‘valuable’ local/network content.
They usually reach an agreement in the final hours before the deadline.
As we were watching football on ‘FREE Government - But You Need To Buy The Antenna - TV’ last weekend (no cable, no dish out here in the boonies) they were running these commercials, too!
Really? You’re spending Advertising Dollars sending this chit to someone who doesn’t even HAVE a dish in the first place?
*SNORT*
Someone needs to lose their job - but, this is America, so of course they won’t. In fact, I’m sure Little Johnny will be PROMOTED! Awards for everyone! Healthy snacks are in the cooler!
*Rolleyes*
“Fierce cable”? LOL!
Progressives now consider any dissemination of useful information to be a scare tactic or right wing propaganda of some kind.
So, telling someone the truth, that their cable company is going to drop a channel they currently have but could lose is alarmism?
Telling the truth is a scare tactic?
What planet is this again?
I got rid of dish and got Comcast. So much better. Dish sucks. Comcast has been very good without any interruptions or anything.
DISH is very reliable. In over a decade, in three different homes, we have never had a problem with DISH. We love their Hopper Joey system with so many people and TVs.
I recently called DISH up to tell them that it would be cheaper for us if we switched to Verizon or U verse, and they ran through our bills and cut out stuff and gave us discounts and got us below switching price so we stayed.
I heard a similar plea regarding NBC programming via a radio ad recently.
FYI..
I have Dish and am hoping that Fox News goes away.
DISH blocked FOXNews during the night and only one of FOX’s station is active, “FOX SPORTS LIVE”.
