Some detained by police as protest escalates on Interstate 35 near downtown Dallas
The Dallas [Commie] Morning Snooze ^ | UPDATE 11 P.M. (11-25-2014) | Staff Reports

Protesters are winding through downtown Dallas streets after briefly blocking Interstate 35.

Police cars continue to accompany the group, which appears to be working its way back to Dallas Police headquarters where the march started earlier after peaceful and prayerful rallies.

Fewer than 50 people remain from a group that was once more than 200-people strong.

Need I mention the 2006 season of the Mavericks? Or is Dale Hansen to blame? And here's one that never gets old from the Ticket. :)

Dallas Mayor Dwayne Carraway honors Lee Harvey Oswald.

Can’t wait to hear Corby sing “Thanksgiving Loves the White Man” tomorrow. The best part of Thanksgiving.

200 hundred strong? The media messaging continues to see what will stick. 200 is 200 weak.

Yes, only the deep-in-the-bowels of Dallas idiots would crawl out to honour a unarmed thug like Michael Brown in protest. Must of been nothing good on TV.

So, let us remember him for his memorable last words: “You are too much of a pussy to shoot me”. Sadly for his loved ones, he was wrong this time - about 6 or 7 times wrong.

Stupid. No. Gruber-level stupid.

Something like 1:3 cars in Texas come equipped with firearms as standard equipment.

Don’t even need a CCW license: in Texas, your car is an extension of your castle.

Messing around on a Texas highway, stopping traffic and causing fender-benders is a very good way to get shot. And. Once one round is fired, it’s likely to be a very different kind of “riot”.

Especially Hwy 35, a major artery. Inconvenience 500 drivers, and 150 of them are gonna be PO’d. And armed. “Honest officer, there was a real riot going on, all around me. I was afraid for my life.” Think 12 jurors in Texas would convict?

‘Southern strategy’

Good thing you put that in quotes since the so-called "Southern Strategy" is a myth fabricated by the liberals. The GOP of the 19th Century hasn't changed its fundamental values today, although RINOs have recently risen to power. That will change soon when Republicans return to their roots as the party of Lincoln, Coolidge and Reagan. The DemonRATs were, are and will always be the home of the KKK.

Couple of very important points.

1. They are being peaceful. When they are not being peaceful, Dallas Police - who are escorting them and keeping an eye on them - are promptly arresting them and hauling them to jail.

2. In the 9th largest metro area in the US, with a very large black population, they only managed to get 200 people together at their peak with only 50 (one would assume that most of these people are JWP’s office staff) hard core idiots left. From the pics that were on the news, these were mostly old hard core libidiots.

3. Despite their attempts to rabble rouse, no rabble are being roused.

They are being peaceful.

I respectfully but strongly disagree. They were blocking traffic. Every single one of them on I-35 should be hauled off to jail. Impeding traffic flow on a limited access highway is not being peaceful. On the other hand, your other two points do make sense.

Exactly right. The dimmies/leftist are once again trying to redefine the law. Peaceful demonstrations are what the Tea Party did.

Blocking roads, or blocking entrances to buildings are NOT peaceful demonstrations. They have no right to do that. The term for that is civil disobedience - and people have often been arrested for that.

Smashing windows is vandalism. Throwing rocks at people is assault. Breaking windows and stealing TVs is breaking and entering/looting. Setting fires is arson. All are illegal acts and they should be locked up and prosecuted.

Peaceful being relative - that’s annoying and obstructive, yes. But they’re also not running around shooting people, looting stores and burning buildings.

‘Fewer than 50 people remain from a group that was once more than 200-people strong.’

In the olde days, after a Friday night football victory. it was traditional for high schoolers and other alumni to cruise up and down the highways and around the courthouse raising hell yelling and honking horns until midnight. 200 people would have been a small turnout even in a podunk town where I grew up.

Ask your granddad about Texas-OU night in Dallas to get an idea of what a real Texas riot used to look like.

The Dallas police couldn’t control a Texas-OU Friday night party in downtown today. I still remember people hanging out windows, walking the sidewalks, and cruising by in their cars (quite a few convertibles with tops down). And the cops breaking up spontaneous fights and brawls, keeping pedestrians moving along the sidewalks, and cars bumper to bumper moving through the streets at a snails pace. Beer cans, bottles, rocks, and anything not nailed down being moved or tossed around between pedestrians, window hangers, and car passengers. The never ending rebel yells, wolf whistles, honking horns, and loud people conversing and cursing everywhere. The smell of chewing tobacco, wacky tobaccy, cigarettes, cigars, beer, whiskey, cheap perfume, expensive cologne, spearmint gum, bubble gum, vomit, and sometimes horse hockey permeated the air and polluted the sidewalks and streets. Everyone was dressed in Oklahoma Sooner red or Texas U. orange to support their school. The pretty girls...and well you know the rest.

It was quite an experience. I don’t recall anyone being shot or killed by a sober or drunken partier although many got bloodied and arrested for fighting and public drunkeness. It was just random chaos, people letting off steam. The few that crossed the line were quickly warned or taken into custody. I guess back then we were a more friendlier people, even when we partied.

Eventually though, Dallas had to cancel the Friday night party because of real violence and the threat of a riot breaking out. It is now only a part of history and our youth.

One time Chuck Norris was in attendance. He used to be a shy and very reserved guy (by our standards). After observing our festivities, he went on to become a world champion karate expert, changed his name to Walker, and became an honorary Texas Ranger. Chuck you owe us one.
