Bill Cosby's Accusers' Claims Are Full of Holes
American Thinker ^ | 11/23/2014 | By Patricia L. Dickson

Since the media has decided to bombard me with stories of Bill Cosby's alleged rapes, I believe that I have a right to examine his accusers' claims. As each new woman surfaces and recounts her alleged sexual assault by him, I am left with more questions than answers.

I am not suggesting that Mr. Cosby is not guilty of adultery, however; the media and his accusers are claiming that he is a serial rapist. So far, I have not seen any evidence to prove their claims. Even his accusers say that they do not remember being raped. All that some of his accusers claim to remember is being given two pills (that they take of their own free will) with a glass of red wine and passing out and waking up with their clothes missing or disheveled. The chain of events that led up to these alleged incidents are left out (the history of their relationship to Mr. Cosby).

The only way for the public to have the holes in the accusers' stories filled in is through legal means. If I were Bill Cosby, I would file a defamation lawsuit against every accuser. That way they would have to be subjected to direct questioning by his attorney. I am willing to bet that some of their claims would fall apart within five minutes under direct questioning. In fact, if Mr. Cosby's attorney were to announce today that he will be filing defamation lawsuits against all current accusers, we would not see another woman come forward and this story would quickly fade away. Under direct questioning, I would like the following questions answered:

* What was the true nature of their relationship with Cosby?

* Where were the parents (of the teenagers) during the times of the alleged incidents?

BTW, this reminds me of Herman Cain.... he was accused of molesting women too when he was quite popular in the polls.

Once he dropped out, those women seem to have disappeared as well...

“If I were Bill Cosby, I would file a defamation lawsuit against every accuser.”

If you were Bill Cosby AND, if you were actually innocent.

If guilty, maybe not.

Funny thing is, these charges have been rumbling around for some years, and he hasn’t sued anyone for defamation just yet.

I see parallels between Cosby and the allegations of abuse and the Catholic priests and the allegations of abuse. In the case of celebrities it would be the kiss of death for someone’s acting career to push the accusation. So obviously the women just tried to stuff it.

I heard 2 of the women say they went back for more. I have a problem with them claiming rape after that.
OTOH wasn’t Mike Tyson convicted for a similar scenario? Clinger that went up to his room expecting, uhhh , I don’t know what. Then gets nailed.

I don’t know of any over the counter pills can do what those pills did.

“Why are so many defending him though? Are we to believe all these woman somehow coordinated to destroy him.”

If his name were Joe Bloke I have a feeling this would not be happening.

He has money and fame. I think many are suspicious of motives, of accusing before proving. Another thing, the press jumping on the bandwagon.

After all, didn’t we leave the English system behind? Here, one is innocent until proven guilty.

Not tried in the media.

I’m pretty sick of the mob mentality the press permeats with today.

Well done and thanks for saving me the time and effort on Sunday morning
to author something similar.

This woman’s article, to be believed, kind of reminds me of lightning striking the same tree 16 times in a similar time period.

So this writer believes a date rape drug is consent?

Also consider this happened in another generation of the 60s when few talked about rape and IMO the women were shamed by society compared with the response today.

IMO Cosby and Bill Clinton should go out on a “War against Women” tour for Hillary’s run before she loses.

Cosby’s INACTION is one of the reasons why I personally find it difficult to give him the benefit of the doubt.

But If it is true that he drugged them prior to having sex with them, how can it be proven 30 years later?

I hope some hard-working dodged reporter will talk to a few of these women so that they will their rape experience with Cosby at the time it happened.

If the women demand compensation, that will be grounds for suspicion regarding motivation.

However, if all they want is justice and not money, then there’s a good basis for their story’s credibility.

Absent the money motivation, it will be hard to call into question the character and credibility of all the women who though unrelated, tell identical stories which remain constant over time and which are not at all conflicting....

I mentioned this quite a while back when the very first story came out. I lived in Lake Tahoe for many years and had a lot of friends who worked in the stateline Casinos. The stories of BC's sexual activities and his proclivity for young white women were abundant. As rumors go I assumed some things were exaggerated, but the whole penthouse floor being closed off and 'details' coming from cocktail waitresses who catered his calls and we recipients of his advances came from more than one person I knew well.

Drugs were often a part of the story.

When the story in the Mail included comments from a woman who said she was flown to Tahoe came out, I nodded my head and gave more serious credit to the allegations and the easily connected dots. BC is a star. He always had money, prestige and charisma. As Chris Rock famously said after Bill Clintons's affair witn Monica became public; "A man is only as faithful as his options". The options to celebrities are endless. We all know of the groupies that make themselves available to entertainers, athletes and politicians. So it is not as big a shock as some would make it seem.

What makes me come down against BC is that with all those options; with almost any fantasy he might create being readily available - why would he cross over into drugging unsuspecting or unwilling young women? That's the disgusting part.

To me, from the looks on his face and from what parts of offending interviews in which he tried to exert his influence, I don’t get the look of indignant surprise and concern. I see the power of celebrity and money well rehearsed.

* Why did they agree to travel and meet with a married man knowing that his wife would not be present?

* Why did they visit with a married man in his residence and hotel rooms while his wife was not present?

Um, perhaps because they were young and stupid?

That’s part of why absolutely proving their claims is difficult. And any PhD sexual predator worth his salt could figure that out. It appears to me Cosby had real power in the entertainment industry and he used it to fill his sick twisted lust. He exploited the strong desire most of these women likely had to be make it in show business. All he had to do was dangle parts on his show or offer to make personal recommendations to his entertainment buddies and he knew women (girls?) would come running. He knew many would feel flattered to receive his personal attention and not even consider they were taking a chance with their personal safety by being alone with him. After all, he was family man Bill Cosby, the pudding man, the loving father and pediatrician on television. In public, he seemed harmless. He knew all of that. He knew his wealth, power, and fame largely insulated him. And after he got away with it a few times it was easy to convince himself he could get away with it again.

Of course I don’t know for sure, but I strongly suspect he is guilty. Could he be convicted? I’m a lawyer and will admit I doubt it for a variety of factors. But this isn’t a court of law. He isn’t entitled to a presumption of innocence with me. Just because someone can’t be convicted doesn’t mean they aren’t guilty. See O.J. Simpson.

At least one said there was a ‘party’ he was bringing them to and they go there and no one was present.

This is a rich, powerful man who had the contacts to make or break careers. Some complained to police and nothing was done. It was also a different era where women (especially a white woman with a black man) could end their careers and social lives coming forward with such an accusation.

During his last interview with AP Cosby said nothing in response to three questions asked by the interviewer and subsequently requested that the interview be “scuttled”.

I believe every one of these women. The similarities between Bill Cosby and Bill Clinton are striking. The only difference is the M.O. Cosby is partial to quaaludes, while Bill Clinton is the traditional violent serial rapist.

The Cos was just born in the wrong generation.

Today young women would gladly bed him, take his pills and whatever cash he had to offer.

Yeah.

Groupie Rock Star dynamic.

The whole thing is sordid.

No defense of Cosby’s morality, but the cries of rape are quite consistent with current progressive agenda with regard to “rape culture” etc...
