A surgeon who contracted Ebola while working in Sierra Leone was in extremely critical condition Sunday at a Nebraska hospital, his doctors said.
Dr. Martin Salia, who was diagnosed with Ebola on Monday, arrived in Omaha on Saturday to be treated at the Nebraska Medical Centers biocontainment unit that has successfully treated two other Ebola patients this fall.
Salia is extremely ill, said Dr. Phil Smith, who is helping oversee Salias treatment. The 44-year-old Salia might be more ill than the first Ebola patients successfully treated in the United States, according to the hospital.

His wife, Isatu, lives in New Carrollton, and they have two children, 12 and 20, also living in the United States. He has been a visitor to their Maryland home but has devoted most of his time to his medical work in Freetown.

He is a citizen of Sierra Leone. He worked in Sierra Leone. i think it is a reasonable question to ask the particulars on why he is considered a Maryland resident.
People are awfully touchy over nothing. Sometimes it is better to just answer a question without getting so emotional over it.
