La would have to build very few venues. Lots of places for various competitions in the area
To: SkyDancer
Money ? They’ll finance it all with gubmint bonds.
Put the taxpayers on the hook for higher taxes in the future.
All the building, services, etc., companies will wallow up to the feeding frenzy trough of taxpayer debt dollars.
Woo-hoo !
It’s genius ! /sarc

Considering the Olympics have been a fiscally losing venture for a long time
LA would be perfect location...
They are used to throwing money down the sewer

L.A. is 70 miles long by 60 miles long (>4,000 square miles)
Back in 1984 they used every inch of it. People had no idea that when they had rowing in Lake Casitas it would be a long drive from downtown.

The stadium they built in 1932 is still good to host all the track and field events.
Now if they'd just tear down the "Gruesome Twosome" that some idiot
erected in 1984.

I think existing venues should compete for various events.

Very familiar with the area.
The comment I responded to is not an accurate portrayal of the availibility of venues.
To: BenLurkin
only if running for your life becomes an olympic event.

Built for crowds of the 1930’s ... I think more room might be needed ...

You do know the Olympics have been in la since then. You do know that events are held throughs la all the time.
You made an inaccurate comment and now won’t acknowledge it.
What’s the point?
To: Popman
The last la Olympics made money
To: BenLurkin
That looks like it is a stadium fir ISIS Olympics
To: BenLurkin
With the amount of money they’ll lose, they could build a couple of more bullet trains to nowhere.
