Just heard on savages show- National guard choppers headed toward Ferguson, local employers sending workers home early. Is the balloon about to go up?

Ha...Cabellas probably got a "resist in place" order for the staff....and any volunteers inside the building before the doors are barricaded.

Most of the crime has of course been in Ferguson...but if you fish around you can find a few malls that were closed for a few hours, that are a good distance away.
Most ominous - the yellow ‘envelope’ symbols are where Community Organizing type activities have occurred - vigils, meetings, etc....and that is spread all over the area, to include downtown.
If I lived in St. Louis, I’d gather my family and pets and take a long vacation in a red state, where we could hopefully find jobs and a nice new home.
Six years ago, driving alone from FL back to WA, I was rerouted by a detour through some very awful areas of St. Louis. The road signs petered out, and I found myself driving through Mogadishu. I wanted to stop and ask directions, but there was not a single person I’d have felt safe stopping. As it turns out, I was approaching, but did not get as far as Ferguson when I spotted my freeway, and off I went with a huge sigh of relief. .
I can only imagine what would happen to me in that area since the Brown thug died. I’m a big threat — a small blonde woman of a “certain age.” Easy pickings, I don’t even want to think about it.

Made me laugh. Pretty standard for any major US city though - can’t leave the highway.
There simply can’t be that much evidence.

My advice: Embrace the suck.
It’s hard to figure what a grand jury will decide. Some are more independent
than others. But helos headed north over Kirkwood isn’t that strange. St Louis
Intnational Airport is about 6-8 miles north of Kirkwood.
Back in the early 60s I rode a Yamaha 305 from St. Augustine to the Grove almost every weekend. I could go almost halfway on stretches of I-95 that weren't officially open.
I can use a nice massage chair from the Sharper Image myself.

Riots usually cause problems for the surrounding areas as well. Not just the local blocks. Many areas are affected because the gangs can hit places all over the places because they know the eye is on Ferguson.
Personally, I’d go for Nordstroms! In order to “stick it to the man” I DESERVE multiple Coach bags...
