If women don’t want men to notice them why do they dress the way they do? Do they go into a dress shop and say, “I think I’ll buy this dress or sweater or slacks because its going to make me look unattractive?” I don’t think so. Jus’ sayin’.
The vid that has been pulled from this site twice?
“the one who follows her down the street too closely for five whole minutes”
I’ve gotten a lot of dates that way. /s/
One of the first things I noticed when my neighborhood began to get “vibrant” and “enriched” were the young males, who obviously had no jobs, standing around catcalling and making crude animal noises at women. The woman in the video may indeed have “walked through a white neighborhood,” but she probably didn’t get any examples there for her video.
Rush is talking about this at this very second...
In some five decades, I’ve never catcalled a woman in my life. I have occasionally turned around to catch another glimpse, and a couple of times I’ve walked into a telephone pole.
I also never hear this going one. Maybe because of where I am, or possibly because I don’t notice it.
The author of this piece is offended that the video shows almost only NAMs doing the catcalling. Possibly that’s an artifact of who does most of it? But of course all men get accused of this.
It would also be interesting to do a whole series of these videos. Are black or latina women harassed less by NAMs? Of those men she passes, what percentage catcall her by ethnicity? How much does changing clothing change the response to her?
There’s actually a whole lot of interesting studies that could be done using this method. But I suspect they wouldn’t like the results.

Everybody knows that if an attractive woman walks through seedy urban streets for ten hours, some men will notice and some will make advances.
She's lucky she wasn't jacked up by a real streetwalker.
I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed an actual example of catcalling in my life. Always assumed it was strictly a boorish northeastern thing, done by scuzzbags.
Wolf-whistles, on the other hand, much more common. Usually done in a sort of self-consciously comical way, amongst college-age peers and such.
So what?
Seriously, so what?
So, why is Hanna Rosin so utterly consumed by the color of their skin instead of the content of their character?
(Rhetorical question only - of course the answer is that leftists are the most race-obsessed group of idiots since the heyday of the KKK or the Third Reich.)
If you walk by a dog pen, don’t be surprised if you get barked at.
I can see how she would be insulted. I would think the only type of woman who would respond favorably to that sort of treatment would *tend* to be a woman with rather low expectations. So, it’s as if these guys are saying, “Hi, I think you may have low enough values to tolerate my uncouth jackassery to where you might sleep with me.”
There are ways of “pitching woo” that are less insulting. These guys simply don’t have any skills.
As for the way she’s dressed, she is dressed modestly. Maybe not modestly enough for the Taliban or the Amish, but by most reasonably accepted standards, she’s modestly dressed. She’s not smiling or flirting; she’s just getting where she’s going.
Bottom line: It’s a “gotcha” game where (like I said) she walks past every dog-pen she can find because she *knows* (just like we all should know) that those “dogs” are going to be true to their raising and “bark” at her.
Cue Gomer Pyle: Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!
We could have told her this would happen if she had just laid her cards on the table up front. We could have saved her all the shoe leather!
As far as I’m concerned, this is much ado about a contrived street performance with some unwitting players who can be counted on to take the bait.
The truth is that white males used to cat-call in the 1950s and 1960s (the cat-calling construction worker was a stereotype, in fact).
But since the war on white men took off in the 1970s, we’ve learned to keep our mouths shut.
P.S. I was never a cat-caller. There is such thing as class, after all.
No good deed goes unpunished. She tried to do the liberal thing, that is, show that men are no good devils. And then liberals end up calling her racist. Serves her right.
I never saw anyone in the media give a damn about the black muslim preachers in NYC with megaphones standing on street corners inciting racial hatred against the “white devils” walking past them on the sidewalk.
New York is a crude place. Film at 11.
Exactly, and it is mostly the Black men who are the rudest.
